The Zwerg Scandroid is a recruitable enemy in Final Fantasy XIII-2. Its Monster Crystal is acquired automatically in a tutorial battle, but unlike its partner in the battle, Cait Sith, it does not appear in normal battles in the Bresha Ruins, and cannot be encountered again until Oerba 200 AF, two areas away from the Ruins.

Paradigm Pack[]
The Zwerg Scandroid is one of the first two monsters the player will tame, the other being the Cait Sith. As a Ravager, its stat growth is unimpressive; it will be quickly superseded by more powerful Ravagers. It only learns Lightning-elemental attacks and can be used to infuse Thunder when raised to level 8. Later in the game, Pleuston, which has Thunder at level 1, should be used instead.
Thunder has three advantages which Circuitron benefits from and therefore illustrates; it costs only one ATB segment, its damage is based on the Magic stat, and it is usable from range. Infusing Thunder can also add versatility to monsters, such as Blue Chocobo (wielding spells of two elements), as opposed to the strategy of covering all four elements with multiple monsters.
