Template:Sideicon Template:FFII multi Enemies Zombie Borghen is a boss in Final Fantasy II. It is Borghen, returning as a monster-in-a-box Zombie, that engages Firion and his party as they venture through the Pandaemonium.

He appears later, in Soul of Rebirth. While exploring the tunnel, Minwu finds Josef being tortured by Borghen's soul. Recognizing Josef, Minwu and Scott decide to help.

Strategy

Though he is a good deal more powerful than the first time he attacked the party, Zombie Borghen is not a fearsome opponent. When compared to the other four bosses found in the Pandaemonium - Astaroth, Beelzebub, Tiamat, and the Emperor - he is somewhat weaker. He has very little HP, his Attack and Defense stats are fairly average, and he uses low-level spells. He should not present too much of a challenge, especially if the player has built up their party in preparation for the trek through the final dungeons. The main thing to remember is to de-equip the Blood Sword before the battle, as it will actually heal Zombie Borghen if you attempt to use it on him. Do not waste your time trying to use any instant-kill spells (such as Death or Toad) on him, as his high magic defense stat means that such spells only have a minimal chance of working. Instead, focus on using strong elemental attacks, as he will fall far quicker that way. A much faster method of defeating Zombie Borghen is to give a character two Healing Staffs (as well as having decent proficiency with Staves) and attack him with them to quickly defeat him.

In Soul of Rebirth, Zombie Borghen is still rather easy. Scott should be attacking with Fire magic, while Minwu heals. Since Josef joins in this battle, he should be rather weak and under-prepared, but just have him keep attacking and Borghen should fall once again.
