The Zokka, also called HermitCrab or HrmtCrab, is an enemy in Final Fantasy VI. A man outside the Crumbling House advises Celes of their petrification techniques, recommending her to wear a relic that prevents 
Petrify.

Zokkas are most dangerous when alone, as it will counter all attacks with Rock, inflicting petrify. When with other enemies it only uses normal attacks and occasionally Net, which inflicts stop. Both Rock and Net are dangerous, as Celes is likely to be the only person in the party at this point. It is highly advised the player equip her with a Ribbon or a Jeweled Ring to protect against this. The fastest way to defeat the Zokka is to use tier two spells like Fira, if Celes knows any. Otherwise the player should flee, since the area is timed and using lesser spells may take too long.
