Zell (ゼル, Zeru?) is the standard currency of the Kingdom of Izander, as featured in King's Knight -Wrath of the Dark Dragon-.

Function

Operating as the third-tier currency in the game, zell can be used for any of the following:

• Upgrading/reforging weapons
• Unlocking unit skills (with AP)

Acquirement

The zell tree, nearly fully grown

Zell are almost always acquired from shooting chests and enemies in a quest stage, albeit in small amounts. The Xelnia Darkwood daily quest, available Saturdays, drops zell exclusively.

Zell may also be harvested from the zell tree at regular intervals, with the amount, regrowth rate, and time interval all increasing with the tree's level.

Etymology

[view · edit · purge] Zell or Zelle is a German word meaning "cell" with the same multiple contextual definitions as in English. As a name, it is believed to be a German given or family name derived from many locations called Zell existing in Germany.
