Zazan is a playable character and antagonist in War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. Known as the Immortal Cutthroat and the Immortal Beast, he is a wandering warrior affiliated with Gouga notorious for his strength and skill. He is also known as "The Unkillable", as he has the ability to resuscitate himself despite suffering grievous injuries.
Profile[]
Appearance[]
Zazan is a bulky man with brown hair and some traces of facial hair, blueish eyes and a scar near his mouth. Zazan wears bear skin to cover his helmet and armor and wears clawed gloves. He wears armored plates on his arms, shoulders and even leggings. He dons gray clothes underneath his armor, and some purple clothing in his lower torso, underneath some brown patches in his armor. In combat he dons a large sword.
Personality[]
Zazan is a brutal man who loves nothing more than slaughter. He is good friends with Rairyuu, who introduced him to the Gouga shinobi clan. Both are mercenaries with a sadistic and cruel streak and no consideration for fair play, even going as far as tormenting those at the receiving end of his ruthlessness. Painfully aware of his immortal condition, Zazan uses it to feign death to attack his foes when they lower their guard, granting him easy albeit cowardly victories.
Although his unexplained immortality is his strongest weapon, it has crushed Zazan's spirit, for as he puts it, he has stared death closely so many times it has left him terrified and shaken so much that he is certain he will eventually die completely.

Gouga and Saiga: Part I[]
Ep. 5: Mariale's Glare[]
Loreila is about to cross a bridge when Mariale accosts her to ask where the village leader has been. Loreila explains she was on the battlefield. Mariale wonders how someone like Loreila could become the chief of Gouga, Loreila saying that she wanted the fighting to cease and that the elder had felt the same way. Mariale tells Loreila to cease her nonsense, viewing Loreila as spoiled as the elder's only daughter and out of touch with how the rest of Gouga feels: the villagers would lose their livelihoods should the warring cease as their land cannot yield crops. Mariale is sick of living a dark and damp cave. A voice tells Mariale that she shouldn't need to worry about that, and a man approaches the two to introduce himself as Zazan the Unkillable. Mariale brought him to Gouga as he displayed promise. Loreila asks why Mariale didn't consult her about inviting a wanderer to Gouga as they know nothing of Zazan. Mariale reveals Zazan brought them some interesting information: a rumor that rival clan Saiga's chief, Skahal, has been secretly rendezvousing with someone from Gouga. Loreila is shaken while Mariale is intrigued. Loreila says it's just a rumor, but Mariale trusts Zazan's background as Rairyuu was the one who sent him to Gouga.
Zazan says he's a hard worker and asks Loreila and Mariale to leave it to him. Zazan notices Loreila's clothes smell of blood, identifying that she must have killed at least seven men. Zazan proclaims the rumors about Gouga really are true. As Zazan is ready for work, Mariale tells him of a new mission she had learned from their scouts: the chief of Saiga is currently heavily wounded and on the run. Zazan vows to hunt Skahal down and promises Mariale to have his head for her. As Zazan leaves, Mariale tells Loreila to find something more chiefly to do in the meantime. Loreila proclaims that she needs to stop Zazan and runs after him, piquing Mariale's curiosity about her intentions.
Ep. 7: Breakdown I[]
After pursuing Zazan, Loreila takes a moment to catch her breath, but becomes alarmed when she smells blood. She finds Skahal surrounded by Gouga shinobi, who tell him he won't last long now that Loreila is there. Loreila tells the shinobi to let Skahal go and return to the village as she'll take care of it. The shinobi protest as Skahal, the chief of Saiga, is a big target for them. Loreila explains she became the chief of Gouga to stop the fighting, and to accomplish this, they need to join with Saiga. The shinobi mention that Mariale was right that someone in Gouga really was communing with the enemy, Saiga. Another shinobi is shocked that the traitor turned out to be Loreila, taking a swing at her.
Loreila runs to Skahal's side who tells her to flee. Loreila tells the shinobi she'll only ask them one more time to leave. The shinobi are incessant and ask Loreila if she knows what'll happen to them if the war ends. Loreila asks the shinobi to listen to her as nothing good will come of a battle between Gouga and Saiga. The shinobi say that bringing back the heads of the chief of Saiga and the traitor of Gouga will have them handsomely rewarded, and with Saiga's fall, Gouga will hold monopoly on the mercenary business. The shinobi brandish their blades against the duo as Skahal stands and shouts for Loreila to move. Loreila thinks that a village thriving at the expense of others doesn't need to exist and vows to protect him. The Gouga shinobi ready their blades against Loreila.
Ep. 10: Zazan the Unkillable[]
Loreila and Skahal eliminate the Gouga shinobi. Zazan arrives, impressed at the duo's feat, Loreila explaining he is a helper in Gouga. Zazan finds it strange a sweet scent mixes with the blood on her clothes, deducing that the Saiga man is Loreila's lover and that they had been meeting in secret. Loreila tells him that now he knows, she cannot let Zazan return to the village. Zazan laughs and ponders becoming famous for slaughtering the chiefs of both Saiga and Gouga. Several Gouga shinobi appear and Zazan and the shinobi engage Loreila and Skahal in battle.
In the aftermath Skahal and Loreila stand over a defeated Zazan as Mariale arrives, calling it ironic that Loreila talks about ending the fighting and yet is the one to bring about all the death. She asks how many of Loreila's shinobi brethren need to be sacrificed just so Loreila can be with one man, pointing to Skahal. Mariale is disgusted and calls Loreila a traitor. Loreila bows her head in shame, as Skahal tries to approach Mariale to explain. She commands Zazan to act and Skahal is taken aback as Zazan springs up and tries to stab him. Loreila steps in front of Skahal, ending up impaled by Zazan's sword. Zazan laments on how Loreila acted out of love, promising not to miss next time. Zazan and Mariale laugh, the latter commenting on Zazan's moniker, a master at playing dead.
Skahal calls it unforgivable. Zazan says Skahal doesn't realize the position he's in as he's already surrounded by Gouga shinobi. Zazan says it's the end for Saiga and orders the shinobi to kill him. Skahal chants a ritual that takes out all of the shinobi. Zazan is bewildered and wonders how Skahal could accomplish that while on the brink of death. A voice elates having found Skahal and Saiga shinobi surround him. Zazan is frustrated that reinforcements have arrived and Mariale tells him to withdraw. Skahal curses Gouga and declares their villages will never be one. Skahal proclaims to crush Gouga and erase it from the world. Mariale becomes the new chief of Gouga, swearing to destroy Saiga.
Gameplay[]
Zazan[]
A warrior affiliated with Gouga. He loves nothing more than slaughter and has found a kindred spirit in Rairyuu, who introduced him to the shinobi village. He is said to be immortal as he is not killed as easily as most men.
Character description
Zazan is an N-rarity unit of the Water element whose main job is Warrior, while his sub jobs are Knight and Thief. He can equip the following items: Sword, Hat, Helm, Clothing, Armor, Accessory. His unit cost is 20. His EX job is Warrior (Juggernaut).
His Master Ability increases his own DEX by 15%, as well as his Move by 1 and Jump by 2. He has no limit burst.
Zazan is the only N-rarity unit and the only one that can be obtained through Normal Summon. Zazan's Warrior job focuses on damage through ATK buffs and human/beast killers. His Knight job specializes on stat debuffs, while his Thief job is used for disruption. Because of his rarity, Zazan is an easy unit to max, although in line with his rarity are his generally low stats, which means he's best used by starting players and is easily replaced afterwards.
Despite his inherent weaknesses, Zazan has some interesting niches. Through both his Master Ability and Thief jobs, Zazan can reach a titanic 5 Move and 3 Jump stats, the highest in the game, and navigate nearly any map with ease. These traits can be exploited along Steal Heart from his Thief job, to easily reach and charm enemies and start causing mayhem on the battlefield. He has modest bulk for his rarity with decent HP and DEF, and almost no weakness to any attack type other than Magic, although this means he resists nothing either.
His EX Job vastly increases his HP and ATK values, while granting him extensive focus on Human Killer buffs and greater damage, making him more utilitarian in PvE and PvP content.
A hood that resembles the head of a bear. Zazan seems profoundly more able to concentrate when wearing this hood, but what practical effectiveness it has is unclear. When worn by Zazan, he is sometimes mistaken for a real bear.
Bear Hood description
His Trust Master Reward is the Bear Hood accessory which bestows HP +68 and DEF +5.

A one-of-a-kind jacket that Zazan had specially made by an artisan of Gouga after acquiring a sizeable fortune through the spoils of war. Its design—from the black and silver accents to the shoulder spikes—was dictated by Zazan himself. He is purportedly very satisfied with the slick, finished product.
Jacket of the Upstart description
His Trust Master Reward is the Jacket of the Upstart armor which bestows HP +330, DEF +8, EVADE +15 and access to the Kingpin's Cackle ability, which raises own Earth Attack/Earth Res Piercing Rate for 3 turns.
