Zaghnal (ザグナル, Zagunaru?) is a recurring enemy in the series.

Appearances

Final Fantasy IX

Zaghnol is an enemy fought at Lindblum as part of the Festival of the Hunt, and later at Donna Plains at the Outer Continent and Pinnacle Rocks. It fights with Heave, and uses Electrocute on itself to use Thundara as a counter on the party. It has the Mythril Gloves and Needle Fork as steals during the Festival of the Hunt.

Final Fantasy XII

Zaghnal FFXII

Zaghnal is an enemy fought at Ozmone Plain. It fights by utilizing various physical attacks, and when blinded uses Eye Drops. They are powerful when first encountered, and generally travel in pairs. The Heavy Coat can be stolen from them very rarely.

Final Fantasy XIII-2

FFXIII-2 Zaghnal

Zaghnal is an enemy that can be fought in Oerba -400 AF-. It can be used to farm Power Essences.

Final Fantasy XIV

Zaghnal is an enemy found in The Twinning. A stronger variant is the Alpha Zaghnal, which is fought as a boss alongside its Beta Zaghnal minions. They are based on their appearance in Final Fantasy XIII-2.
