The Zaghnal (ザグナル, Zagunaru?), also known as the Zaghnol, is a recurring creature in the Final Fantasy series, first appearing in Final Fantasy IX. It often appears as a variant of the behemoth.

Final Fantasy IX[]
The Zaghnol is appears as an enemy encountered in Lindblum as part of the Festival of the Hunt, and later in the Donna Plains of the Outer Continent and Pinnacle Rocks. It fights with Heave, and uses Electrocute on itself to use Thundara as a counter on the party. The Mythril Gloves and Needle Fork can be stolen from it during the Festival of the Hunt.
Final Fantasy XII[]
The Zaghnal appears as an enemy encountered in the Ozmone Plain. It fights by utilizing various physical attacks, and when blinded uses Eye Drops. It is powerful when first encountered, and generally travels in pairs. The Heavy Coat can be stolen from it.
Final Fantasy XIII-2[]
The Zaghnal appears as an enemy encountered in Oerba -400 AF-. It can be used to farm Power Essences, and can be recruited into the Paradigm Pack as a Ravager.
Final Fantasy XIV[]
The Zaghnal appears as an enemy in
The Twinning. It is based on its appearance in Final Fantasy XIII-2.
The Lindblum Zaghnol, based on its appearance in Final Fantasy IX, is a boss in Yuweyawata Field Station.
