Yoichi Wada (和田 洋一, Wada Yōichi?), born May 28, 1959, and sometimes credited as Youichi Wada, is the former president and representative director of Square Enix. Since joining the company in April 2000 as an executive director and chief financial officer, he has since taken part in the development of many Final Fantasy titles as head publisher, production executive, and executive producer. Due to a change in the company management scheme, he resigned from the CEO position of Square Enix. His contract with the company expired on June 16, 2015 but still remains the president of Shinra Technologies.[1]
