The Yo-kai Watch: Gather One, Gather All! is a collaborative event in Final Fantasy XIV that crossed over with the Yo-kai Watch franchise. The event started on July 26, 2016, at 1:00 a.m. (PDT) and ended on October 3, 2016, at 7:59 a.m. (PDT).[1] It is set to return on August 19, 2020 until patch 5.4.

Story

Gameplay

To begin, speak with the poor-heeled youth on the Steps of Nald (X:9.2 Y:9.1). Upon completion of the quest, players will receive a Yo-kai Watch and Yo-kai Medallium which can be used to obtain Yo-kai Medals.

In order to undertake this quest, the player character must be above level 15, and players must first complete one of the following main scenario quests: "The Gridanian Envoy", "The Lominsan Envoy", or "The Ul'dahn Envoy".

Medals

Yo-kai medals are obtainable by equipping the Yo-kai Watch accessory and participating in FATEs in La Noscea, the Black Shroud, and Thanalan.

Minions

After gathering Yo-kai Medals and delivering them to the wandering executive at the Gold Saucer (X:5.2 Y:6.9), he will introduce the player to their favorite Yo-kai. By befriending these Yo-kai, players will be able to summon them as in-game minions. Collect more medals to meet more Yo-kai.

Mounts

There are a total of thirteen Yo-kai that will be visiting Eorzea. If the player befriends all thirteen and summons each one as a minion, they will receive the Whisper-go mount as a reward. Players can ride this mount throughout open-world areas in Eorzea.

After grinding FATEs to obtain all thirteen weapons, players will receive the Whisper A-go-go mount as a reward. The mount flies and glows at night. It looks the same as the Whisper-go, but it has a small Jibanyan sitting on it.

Weapons

Players can exchange Legendary Yo-kai Medals with the wandering executive for a Yo-kai weapon. Legendary Yo-kai Medals are obtainable by participating in certain FATEs while accompanied by the Yo-kai minion that corresponds to the desired weapon. There are specific destinations where players should go gather Legendary Medals, and the location is different depending on the weapon. Check the Yo-kai Medallium for details on where to go to search for medals.
