Yo-kai Watch: Gather One, Gather All! was a limited-time event in Final Fantasy XIV in collaboration with the Yo-kai Watch franchise. The event started on July 26, 2016, at 1:00 a.m. (PDT) and ended on October 3, 2016, at 7:59 a.m. (PDT).[1] It ran a second time in 2017[2] and a third time in 2020[3], with the 2020 event adding weapons for the jobs added with Stormblood and Shadowbringers.

Story[]

Gameplay[]

To begin, speak with the poor-heeled youth on the Steps of Nald (X:9.2 Y:9.1). Upon completion of the quest, players will receive a Yo-kai Watch and Yo-kai Medallium which can be used to obtain Yo-kai Medals.

In order to undertake this quest, players must be above level 15 and have completed The Gridanian Envoy The Gridanian Envoy, The Lominsan Envoy The Lominsan Envoy, or The Ul'dahn Envoy The Ul'dahn Envoy.

Medals[]

Yo-kai medals are obtainable by equipping the Yo-kai Watch Yo-kai Watch accessory and participating in FATEs in La Noscea, the Black Shroud, and Thanalan, as well as Heavensward and Stormblood zones.

Minions[]

After gathering Yo-kai Medals and delivering them to the wandering executive at the Gold Saucer (X:5.2 Y:6.9), he will introduce the player to their favorite Yo-kai. By befriending these Yo-kai, players will be able to summon them as in-game minions. Collect more medals to meet more Yo-kai.

Mounts[]

There are a total of thirteen Yo-kai that will be visiting Eorzea. If the player befriends all thirteen and summons each one as a minion, they will receive the Whisper-go mount as a reward. Players can ride this mount throughout open-world areas in Eorzea.

After grinding FATEs to obtain all thirteen weapons, players will receive the Whisper A-go-go mount as a reward. The mount levitates and glows at night. It looks the same as the Whisper-go, but it has a small Jibanyan sitting on it. With the 2020 Yo-kai Watch event, four more weapons for the Stormblood and Shadowbringers jobs were added; after obtaining all 17 weapons, players will receive a Jibanyan Couch as a reward.

Weapons[]

Players can exchange Legendary Yo-kai Medals with the wandering executive for a Yo-kai weapon. Legendary Yo-kai Medals are obtainable by participating in certain FATEs while accompanied by the Yo-kai minion that corresponds to the desired weapon. There are specific destinations where players should go gather Legendary Medals, and the location is different depending on the weapon. Check the Yo-kai Medallium for details on where to go to search for medals.
