Story

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow. (Skip section)

Even in the new age many people still felt lost, unable to break old habits, so they gathered once again to create a following. Yevoners focus more on the teachings of Yu Yevon instead of New Yevon, which was more into politics. Yuna has become a priestess for the religion, praying for Spira's peace in Besaid Temple.

Sometime after the organization formed, there was a commotion caused by Yevoner hunters and in the process, Chuami's mother – a Yevoners sympathizer – was killed. Yevoners are viewed as a gathering of weak people by many, but Chuami appears to be the only one outspoken about their backwards practices. She believes the Yevoners should try to live instead of hiding and clinging to the old ways just because they can't keep up with the winds of change.
