Sometime after the organization formed, there was a commotion caused by Yevoner hunters and in the process, [[Chuami]]'s mother – a Yevoners sympathizer – was killed. Yevoners are viewed as a gathering of weak people by many, but Chuami appears to be the only one outspoken about their backwards practices. She believes the Yevoners should try to live instead of hiding and clinging to the old ways just because they can't keep up with the winds of change.

Yevoners aren't trying to control the world through the teachings like the old temples did.

Wakka explaining Yevoners to Chuami.

Yevoners is a religious organization referenced in Final Fantasy X -Will-.

New Yevon has been transformed into a council, allowing a new following in Spira. Yevoners pray for peace and carry out moral teachings of Yevon, as a way of life while accepting others.

Profile

Yevoners follow many of the teachings of Yevon in their own lives while accepting the lifestyles of others. Whereas the former temples asserted their dominance on Spiran culture, Yevoners mind their own.

Respecting your neighbors, gratitude for nature, and striving for peace are such beliefs Yevoners hold to, while falsified precepts such as the taboo of machina and Sin being a manifestation of human deeds have been discarded.

Even in the new age many people still felt lost, unable to break old habits, so they gathered once again to create a following. Yevoners focus more on the teachings of Yu Yevon instead of New Yevon, which was more into politics. Yuna has become a priestess for the religion, praying for Spira's peace in Besaid Temple.

Sometime after the organization formed, there was a commotion caused by Yevoner hunters and in the process, Chuami's mother – a Yevoners sympathizer – was killed. Yevoners are viewed as a gathering of weak people by many, but Chuami appears to be the only one outspoken about their backwards practices. She believes the Yevoners should try to live instead of hiding and clinging to the old ways just because they can't keep up with the winds of change.
