Yeti, also called Umaro, is a dummied enemy within Final Fantasy VI. It is a weaker version of Yeti, leading many to believe it was intended to be an earlier battle to recruit Umaro in the World of Balance.

Etymology[edit | edit source]

The Yeti or Abominable Snowman is an ape-like cryptid taller than an average human that is said to inhabit the Himalayan region of Nepal and Tibet.

Umaro is a portmanteau of the Japanese term for cryptids, UMA (Unidentified Mysterious Animal), and the Japanese suffix "maru".
