Yang (The After Years party member)

Yang is a playable character in Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. Yang returns as a Monk, retaining his equipment pool and Kick and Focus abilities. His new ability Cover Counter allows him to intercept attacks on an ally and counter them. Unlike Cecil's Cover, Cover Counter does not automatically defend allies. Yang also has access to many Band abilities.

Abilities[]

Yang has the Kick and Focus abilities, as well as Cover Counter that allows Yang to intercept attacks on an ally and attack the enemy that attacked them, but does not automatically defend weakened allies. Yang can use Cover Counter on himself, but it has no effect.

Yang can equip Claws, hats, clothes, armlets and rings. Yang starts with Lightning Claws on his right hand, Flame Claws on his left hand, a Headband, a Kenpo Gi and a Power Armlet.
