Wuk Evu is a non-playable character in Final Fantasy XIV. He is a carpenter who lives and works at the House of Water High in the Kozama'uka region of Tural.
History[]
The Third Promise and claimant to Tural's throne, Wuk Lamat, met Wuk Evu, requiring his skills as a shipwright to repair the Hanuhanu's festival float. After a brief introduction and explanation of the float's purpose, Wuk Evu agreed to help repair the float if Wuk Lamat's party gathered the necessary materials. After repairing the float, Wuk Evu was confronted by Bakool Ja Ja, another contender for the throne, but Wuk Lamat's party forced the dishonorable Mamool Ja to retreat before any harm could be done. After holding the Hanuhanu's harvest festival, Wuk Evu bid Wuk Lamat well on the rest of the Rites.
Prior to Wuk Lamat's party departing for upper Kozama'uka, Wuk Evu met the party in Tuliyollal. He provided the party with a little information about the fabled Golden City: Everyone who sought it out, except for Gulool Ja Ja, never returned.
After Wuk Lamat's group arrived at the Xbr'aal village of Iq B'raax to do the sixth Rite, Wuk Lamat and Second Promise Koana teamed up to replicate an important dish in the village's history. As the two claimants and the Warrior of Light searched for a way to retrieve banana leaves with the path to the lower jungle cut off, Wuk Evu once again met the claimant, having been doing some errands in the area when he heard Wuk Lamat was in town. He provided the two a history of the centuries-long war between Xbr'aal and Mamool Ja kind, a war that ended only after the Dawnservant's intervention and a fusion of the two villages' cuisines. Through his lesson, Wuk Lamat and Koana deduced the location of a supply of banana leaves hidden for the purposes of the Rite. As Wuk Evu left, he endorsed Wuk Lamat's bid for the throne.
Wuk Evu was present at the Ascension Ceremony crowning Wuk Lamat and Koana as Dawnservants. Wuk Lamat later visited the Xbr'aal to thank him for his history lessons, which helped shape her vision for her leadership.

Wuk Evu is a quirky and knowledgeable Xbr'aal. Wuk Evu enjoys immersing himself in the cultures of other peoples of Tural and is well-versed in recalling the historical and cultural backgrounds of Turalis. He recognizes the same love for the people and culture in Wuk Lamat and believes that she is the best candidate to become Dawnservant. Wuk Evu has an odd fanaticism for following protocol and social manners. He has been noted to be a stickler for manners and people have implied he would have been less than cooperative towards improper conduct. This level of adherence extends even towards himself, as he is profusely apologetic and demands punishment for his own slight transgressions, particularly if the person he was addressing was of a significantly higher station. He immediately forgets his panic if the other person does not mind not following protocol. As a result, most find him odd but harmless yet exhausting. A Pelupelu Merchant stated he would have a easier time talking with a "drunken alpaca" than speaking with Wuk Evu.
