Final Fantasy V description
Wonder Wand (ワンダーワンド, Wandā Wando?) is a recurring weapon in the Final Fantasy series.
Appearances[]
Final Fantasy V[]
The Wonder Wand is the weakest rod, and is the only weapon to give negative Attack Power of -3 with a Hit Rate of 0, but gives +2 Magic. It can be found in Fork Tower (left side), and stolen from Exdeath. It is unique in that when the player attacks with it, it will cast a spell instead of performing a normal attack. When used as an item, it will cast the spell Return.
Contrary to its description, the spells cast by the Wonder Wand are not random. It casts spells in a specified order, starting from Cure up to Osmose, and then loops back to Cure; it will remember its place in the list even between battles, and will cast spells even if the user has been silenced. The order that Wonder Wand casts spells is as follows: Cure, Poisona, Silence, Protect, Mini, Cura, Raise, Confuse, Blink, Shell, Esuna, Curaga, Reflect, Berserk, Arise, Holy, Dispel, Fire, Blizzard, Thunder, Poison, Sleep, Toad, Fira, Blizzara, Thundara, Drain, Break, Bio, Firaga, Blizzaga, Thundaga, Flare, Death, and finally, Osmose.
Final Fantasy X[]
The Wonder Wand is a weapon for Yuna when the dominant ability on any rod is Overdrive → AP.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles[]
The Wonder Wand is not an actual weapon, but an artifact that increases Magic by 3, and is found in Tida Village during the first cycle.
