Wizard Bracelet has very weak Defense, but is relatively strong in terms of Magic Defense, in addition to boosting Magic by 20. It also offers a full set of linked Materia slots, giving the player a lot of optimization with Support Materia. While the armor is the strongest Magic Defense armor that can be bought, the Fourth Bracelet can be obtained relatively shortly after, and the Ziedrich can be stolen around this time as well. In addition, the elemental armor pieces, such as Fire Armlet, may prove more useful in terms of elemental defenses.
For players looking to maximize the usage of the +20 Magic, they can combine the armor with the Circlet or Curse Ring. If the player has obtained both Ziedrichs, they may opt to use those instead. The Fourth Bracelet can also be used to replace the Wizard Bracelet for higher Magic Defense and much better Defense, at the cost of three fewer Materia slots.
