The Wizard's Hat is sold for 1000 gil in Rabanastre, Bhujerba, and Dalmasca Westersand after visiting Leviathan, and from Dyce in Nam-Yensa Sandsea and Tomb of Raithwall. The Wizard's Hat is a low to mid-ranked mystic hat, giving 12 Magick Resist and 4 Magick Power, as well as 47 MP in the Zodiac versions. The superior Lambent Hat is available at the same time from Dyce, however, and so the player may want to skip the Wizard's Hat in favor of it. The player could get it early from the Alpha Wolf, which would allow them to skip all the early mystic hats; Vaan starts with Steal, but the Wizard's Hat is a rare steal from the Alpha Wolf, which is not as common as the basic variant, and the enemies in the Westersand are tougher than the ones on the Estersand.
