Wind Crystal (風の魔晶石, Kaze no Mashōseki?) is a recurring item in the series. It is generally used to create equipment.

Description

Wind Crystal is an item that can be traded to obtain rank points. Once the rank bar is full, further points will be added to Conquest Points. This can be done upon obtaining rank 2 in the players' home nation. It is dropped by the Apkallu, Bat Trio, Bee, Colibri, Diremite, Evil Weapon, Fly, Flytrap, Giant Bat, Ladybug, Manticore, Mamool Ja, Puk, Pixie, Wyvern, Yagudo monster families. Using a wind cluster will shatter it into 12 wind crystals. It can also be obtained from gardening and Chocobo digging.

Wind Crystal is a loot required to create the Spica and Windslicer Shot, Zwill Crossblade, and the Ivory Pole. It can be dropped by Air Chaosjet, Air Elemental, Ash Wyrm, Baritine Croc, Charybterix, High Reaver, Mirrorknight, Onion Queen (Feywood only), Reaver, and Sylphi Entite. It can be stolen from Air Chaosjet, Air Elemental, Ash Wyrm, Greeden, Mirrorknight, Onion Queen (Feywood only), and Sylphi Entite. It sells for 160 gil.
