FFVII Tornado

The Tornado spell.

Wind is an element in Final Fantasy VII. It is one of the rarer elements, as few methods of using it exist for the player. Wind proves effective against many flying enemies. Adding a Wind element to a Long Range attack can be useful against certain enemies.

Abilities[]

Items Bird Wing
Materia Elemental + Choco/Mog/Typhon in a linked slot on a character's weapon.
Spells Tornado

Though Choco/Mog's and Typhon's Materia are Wind-elemental, their summon attacks (Deathblow!!!/Fat Chocobo & Disintegration) are not; the player can only make use of their Wind element via the Elemental Materia.

Use[]

As Wind is a rare element, it uncommon for the player to use. As no enemy resists the Wind element, it is a very powerful element, and several flying enemies are weak to it. To utilize this element, using Elemental with Choco/Mog is the the best method, as both Materia pieces are available early on in the game.

For protection, the player does not need to worry about Wind-elemental damage as Wind is a rare element for enemies to use, and any enemy that uses Wind-elemental attacks can be defeated relatively quickly.
