Wind is an element in Final Fantasy IX. All rackets deal Wind damage with physical attacks. The player can use Wind attacks with Summons and Blu Mags. Many flying enemies are weak to it, but Float status does not make one weak to Wind.

Amarant's Kaiser Knuckles can be his strongest weapon when boosted with a Bracer. His No Mercy will also be Wind-elemental with Kaiser Knuckles.

The Octagon Rod also makes the wearer weak to wind, meaning they absorb even more of it when hit by the Wind element.
