A widget (ウィジェット, U~ijetto?) is a special, crystal knife capable of subduing Mirages in World of Final Fantasy.
Story

Lusse Farna and her future husband, Rorrik, invent widgets to bring the world's Mirages under control. Years later, Lusse uses several of the devices in an unsuccessful attempt to ward off Brandelis, an Exnine Knight summoned by her children, Lann and Reynn. One century later, Reynn finds a single widget in her possession. She uses it during battle while exploring the land of Grymoire with Lann.
