The White Mage 白魔道士 is a Job class in Final Fantasy III. It is gained from the Wind Crystal. In the opening FMV of the DS/PSP remake, Refia is depicted as a White Mage. White Mages excel in assisting the party with defensive and restorative White Magic. Some offensive magic is also available (Light and Wind). They possess low Attack power and Defense. After Devout becomes available, they only become back-up healers if there is a Devout and White Mage in the same party.

White Mages are casters who specialize in restorative magic. They're not physically strong, but their willpower is incomparable!

Description

The bearer of this certificate has achieved supreme knowledge of the healing arts and is deemed worthy of the title of Master White Mage.

Mastery certificate description

The White Mage is a job class in Final Fantasy III, gained from the Wind Crystal. In the opening FMV of the 3D remake, Refia is depicted as a White Mage. White Mages excel in assisting the party with defensive and restorative White Magic. Some offensive magic is also available (Light and Wind). They possess low Attack power and Defense. After Devout becomes available, they only become back-up healers if there is a Devout and White Mage in the same party.

Abilities

NES version

 • Command ability - White Magic Levels 1 - 7

The White Mage specializes in healing and status enhancement spells, but it can also cast the offensive wind spell. Once the Devout (Shaman) job is unlocked, this job loses its usefulness.
