FF4PSP Cid Portrait
Cid Pollendina: Oh, shut up and help me remodel the White Mage (Final Fantasy III) page!
Please expand this article into a full one. The following tasks need to be completed:
  • making a 2D and 3D weapon/armor table like here. Equipment stats do not belong here since the weapons/armor should link to their respectable list of Final Fantasy III weapon/armor page..

This request can be discussed on the associated discussion page. Remove this notice upon completion.

FF3-WhiteMage
White Mage (NES).

White Mages are casters who specialize in restorative magic. They're not physically strong, but their willpower is incomparable!

In-game description

The bearer of this certificate has achieved supreme knowledge of the healing arts and is deemed worthy of the title of Master White Mage.

In-job mastery certificate description

The White Mage (白魔道士, Shiromadoushi?) is a Job class in Final Fantasy III. It is gained from the Wind Crystal. In the opening FMV of the DS/PSP remake, Refia is depicted as a White Mage. White Mages excel in assisting the party with defensive and restorative White Magic. Some offensive magic is also available (Light and Wind). They possess low Attack power and Defense. After Devout becomes available, they only become back-up healers if there is a Devout and White Mage in the same party.

Abilities

Famicom Version

Like every other Final Fantasy, the White Mage specializes in healing and status enhancement spells, but it can also cast the offensive wind spell. Once the Devout (Shaman) job is unlocked, this job loses its usefulness.

Trivia

  • The White Mage's battle sprite from the Famicom Version of Final Fantasy III is nearly identical to the one from the original Final Fantasy, but with its face turned slightly toward the screen and arms spaced slightly farther apart.
