FFD - White Mage

The White Mage is a job in Final Fantasy Dimensions obtained at the start of the story, and is shared by both parties. Like the traditional White Mage in most Final Fantasy games, the role is strictly geared for supportive magic and healing and keeping the party alive using White Magic.

Appearance[]

The party will wear either the traditional White Mage from the series: a white robe with a red trim, or a white robe with a gray trim. Both variations wear their hoods up.

In the iOS and Android versions, the males wear their hoods down and the females wear their hoods up. All have white robes with red trimmings. Most characters wear beaded necklaces with their respective colors, except the females, and Dusk, who wears a brown beaded necklace.

Overview[]

The White Mage is the game's quintessential healing and support role, whose effectiveness becomes more necessary as the story progresses and the random encounters become more difficult. The job is esepcially important for the Warriors of Darkness, who don't have access to Seer or Unicorn until the parties merge, or even many of the supportive Fusion Abilities that the Warriors of Light can access, leaving the White Mage as their sole access to powerful healing and defensive buffs. Although powerful in support, White mages suffer from poor physical stats, including speed. Staves are their main weapon, but they can also equip bows. As they progress in level, White Mage helps provide access to a number of Fusion Abilities, such as the three tiers of Magic Bomb, Dark for the Warriors of Darkness, and potent support spells for the Warriors of Light.

Statistics[]

White mages have high Spirit and MP, average HP, Speed and Vitality, and below average Strength and Intellect.
