Battle[]
White Dragon is a powerful enemy who counters physical attacks either with Slow or its own strong physical attacks that can deal greater than 450 HP damage. This can instantly kill the Black Mage or White Mage (even when defending or using Protect) in one hit. The White Dragon is immune to Fire/Ice/Thunder-elemental magic, and counters with the same element used.
Strategy[]
Porom should know Blink and cast it on allies. The best setup is using it on Kain before a Jump, then herself while the other white mage uses Slow. Black Mage is reduced to item backup duty, although both mages serve as temporary target practice. Once Kain/Porom are slowed, the mages can be allowed to be picked off to gain more experience for Kain and Palom.
If Porom has learned Berserk, she can use it on Kain after preparing the Jump/Blink/Slow combo. The player may have to reapply Blink if the mages died first. Alternatively, she can equip a Bow & Dark Arrows, then use Berserk on herself.
In Porom's tale, it is recommended to use Tents, stay at the Inn, or use both to change to Waxing Moon phase, then save the game.

Etymology[]
dragon is a legendary creature, typically with serpentine or reptilian traits, which is featured in the myths of many cultures.
AChromatic dragon is a classification of dragon in the role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons who are typically of evil alignment, in contrast to the metallic dragons, and their queen is Tiamat. White, black, green, blue and red dragons are the classic chromatic dragons. Final Fantasy has derived a lot of influence from D&D, especially the early series. White dragons are the weakest and the most feral of the classic chromatic dragons. They love to swim in cold water, lair in ice caves, and their icy breath can freeze a foe solid.
