Template:IncompleteTable Template:FFII enemies The White Dragon is the first of 4 elemental dragon-type bosses that can be found guarding various chests in some of the later dungeons of Final Fantasy II. This Ice-type dragon is found in the Mysidian Tower hiding in a treasure chest that contains the Black Robe armor. Later it may appear again as a random encounter in the lower levels of the Jade Passage.

Strategy

The long trek up the Tower of Mysidia may leave your party in a sorry state, so it's a good thing this is an optional boss fight. Only attempt to challenge the White Dragon if you came out of the Thunder Gigas with plenty of HP and MP intact. The White Dragon ultimately acts like a more vicious Ice Gigas, with a few hundred more HP and a higher attack stat. He attacks physically and pounds the party with Icestorm 16. The standard boss battle precautions are still useful here: throw up your Protect and Shell spells and pepper your team with Cure throughout the fight. The beast also has a surprising weakness to the Blind spell, making it easier to survive his physical punishment. Equip the Fire-based weapons you found on the first couple floors of the tower to exploit his elemental weakness, and send your best Fire spells his way. Keep your party in good health, and the first Dragon should fall.
