Template:Sideicon Template:FFI Enemies The White Dragon, known as the Frost D in the Nintendo Entertainment System version, is an enemy in the original Final Fantasy. They are not as difficult to defeat as the Red Dragon, having less HP, Attack, and stats overall; which is strange, because the party is supposed to visit the Cavern of Ice after the visit to Gurgu Volcano.

Even if they are weaker than their Red counterparts, they still have a trick up their sleeves: they possess an attack called Icestorm, which deals Ice damage to all party members, which can be quite dangerous for members with low Defense. They appear later in the Chaos Shrine, on the first floor, but are less of a threat due to the party having leveled up substantially. In any case, it is not that hard to win in that place, even if they come in groups of up to four dragons; a single Firaga will either finish them off or leave them very weak.

As its name implies, the White Dragon is of the Ice element, and thus is weak to Fire attacks, and resistant against Ice attacks. Oddly enough, the dragon is also weak to Lightning, so it may be a viable option. As with many winged enemies, the dragon is immune to Quake, and it is also invulnerable to Poison and Stone.

The dragon appears also in the Lifespring Grotto, if the player decides to go trough the optional dungeon. There is a room where a dragon, Dark Bahamut, orders the party to kill some of its disciples to continue to the next level. One of the disciples may be the White Dragon, which the party can fight.
