Owner and operator of Maagho, an Altissian café-on-the-water, and longtime friend of Regis. He joined the late king on his journey 30 years ago in hopes of reforging and alliance with the nation of Accordo, but an injury incurred in the field cut his travels short.
Weskham Armaugh is a non-playable character in Final Fantasy XV. He is the proprietor of Maagho, a famed floating restaurant on waters of Altissia. Weskham was born in Keycatrich, Lucis, and served as steward to Regis Lucis Caelum prior to the latter's ascension to the throne. Prince Noctis visits Weskham upon making landfall in Altissia during Chapter 9, who tells him the state of matters in the area.
Dossiers[]
- Regis's longtime friend and close confidant. He accompanied the late king as diplomatic advisor on his cross-continental journey thirty years ago. Their mission: to rebuild an alliance with the nation of Accordo in hopes of fighting back against the rapidly militarizing Niflheim Empire. A grave injury incurred in the field forced Weskham to withdraw from the group, however, and he remained in Altissia to undergo treatment while the others returned to Lucis. Since then, he has opened up a café-on-the-water in the city he now calls home, as well as forged a friendship with the first secretary herself, Camelia Claustra.
Profile[]
Appearance[]
Weskham has gray hair and beard, and wears a monocle. He wears a white dress shirt under a leather vest, a white and yellow tie, brown trousers and white-and-black dress shoes. He has a golden wrist watch. In A King's Tale: Final Fantasy XV he wields firearms.
Personality[]
Weskham is refined and knowledgeable of diplomatic affairs. He is calm and collected. His love for fine cuisine led to him starting his own restaurant.
Story[]
Weskham is from Keycatrich, a former rich area of Lucis that has since been reduced to ruin in the Great War against Niflheim Empire. The empire's newly developed magitek infantry breached the regions of Leide, Duscae, and Cleigne, where Niflheim began establishing bases. Lucis challenged the empire but were pushed back. In M.E. 725, Weskham was among Regis's company that included Cid Sophiar, Cor Leonis and Clarus Amicitia that held the front lines during Mors Lucis Caelum CXII's rule. Regis fought alongside his friends on their trip to Accordo, where he traveled to seek the restoration of an allied force. Regis was forced to withdraw to the Crown City due to the Lucian army's defeat.
Weskham had incurred an injury in the field that had cut his travels short, and he remained in Altissia. He met Camelia Claustra, then-leader of an antiestablishment resistance force, and their friendship would help reestablish conciliatory relations between Lucis and Accordo. After Regis returned to Insomnia the range of the Wall was pulled back to the city's ramparts to maintain the strength to resist the empire's invasion efforts.[2] When Noctis was born, Weskham visited Regis, but it is implied Weskham never saw Regis again face-to-face after this.
When Regis's son, Prince Noctis, comes to Altissia in M.E. 756, he meets Weskham at the Maagho restaurant. He meets Altissia's first secretary, Camelia, Weskham's old friend, and agrees to negotiate with her at her estate. Weskham writes a letter to Camelia imploring her to lend her aid to Noctis and Lunafreya's cause for the sake of all of Eos. After Altissia is ravaged by Leviathan, Weskham helps coordinate the city's defense amid the chaos.
When the long night envelopes Eos, Weskham takes refuge in Cape Caem and aids immigrants seeking refuge on the Lucian continent, and cares for combatants deployed to the area around the coast. He is mentioned in passing when Noctis reunites with his retinue ten years later. As Ignis Scientia has adapted to life without sight and has started cooking again, Gladiolus Amicitia encourages him to follow Weskham's example by opening a restaurant, to which Ignis responds that will consider it once the world is freed from darkness.
Gameplay[]
Weskham runs the Maagho's restaurant and thus is the local tipster. Maagho is the premier restaurant in Eos, whose fame Coctura Arlund from Galdin Quay's Mother of Pearl would like to match. Weskham can tell the player about the nearby area, treasures, and other landmarks, and serves food and offers hunts. After the player has sailed on the royal vessel, a quest appears at Maagho where Weskham tells the party about Bismarck.

Other appearances[]
A King's Tale: Final Fantasy XV[]
Weskham is an assist character whom Regis can call on. When summoned normally, he jumps onto the screen and provides cover fire from left to right with his firearms to the closest enemies. When summoned during Armiger, he performs a series of thrusts with a rapier before delivering a well aimed shot on an opponent, and is the last party member to strike before Regis. Weskham was the one to call for Regis when the monsters began invading Insomnia and also the first of Regis's friends to join him on the adventure.
