Werei is a non-player character in Final Fantasy XI.
He is a Galka who resides in the Republic of Bastok. He is considered the unofficial leader of the Galkas in Bastok.

Werei is a Galka with white short hair and a black beard.
Personality[]
Story[]
Werei is the oldest Galka to live in the Republic of Bastok. Werei is veteran swordman who had trained and mentored other Galka warriors like Zeid or Iron Eater. Following the death of Raogrimm, Werei became as a pillar for his people during the Crystal War till the present time.
He is the only one who knows that Gumbah is the new talekeeper and promised to keep it a secret.
Before the events of the game, Werei disappeared, with nobody knowing his whereabouts, causing turmoil in Batok. It was eventually revealed that Werei was close to death and, following Galka tradition, he went on a pilgrimage to rebirth.
