Wellspring Woods is a dungeon in World of Final Fantasy, and is the first location in Grymoire Lann and Reynn traverse through in the game. As such, many of the game's mechanics are introduced here. It is the main setting of Chapter 1, "Land of the Lilikin".

Story[]

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow. (Skip section)

After having traveled through the Main Gate in Nine Wood Hills, Lann and Reynn arrived in Wellspring Woods and discoverd they have turned into Lilikins. After being reassured by Tama that being turned into Lilikins was Enna Kros's "nice and the-handy way of blending in" and could switch back to Jiant form at any time, the twins proceeded into the forest and learned more of the basics of imprisming the Mirages in Grymoire.

Eventually, the twins and Tama encountered a Murkrift and after being dragged in by an impulsive Lann, they faced an undefeatable Behemoth and are killed. Using her powers to rewind time, Tama brought the twins back to Nine Wood Hills, and the three headed back to Wellsprings Woods and continued on their journey in search of civilization.

Spoilers end here.

Layout[]

Wellspring Woods is straightforward, consisting of only one area, and connects to the Bridge Overlook at the end. A Gimme Golem blocks the way midway through the forest.

A Gate appears at the beginning of the dungeon after clearing Chapter 2, "Foretold by Prophecy".
