Battle[]
Wasp Queen is a moderately powerful enemy, and should be taken down by using powerful physical and magical attacks. She is the most powerful Wasp fiend. Her W.I.M.P. attack can inflict Pointless on a character and having Remedies on hand is recommended due to her Triple Shock attack. Wasp Queen is not difficult to take down, although she may commonly appear in groups with other enemies. In the Fiend Arena she can be fought alone.
Creature Creator[]
The Wasp Queen becomes available for capture with a Trap pod L in Bikanel after discovering the Cactuar Hollow. She can also be captured with a Trap pod SP targeting the Wasp species, but only she will appear this way, since the Aculeate that is also native to Bikanel has become unobtainable at this point. If the player wishes to complete as many Fiend Tales as possible, they must capture Aculeate first before discovering the Cactuar Hollow and capturing the Wasp Queen.
Her initial abilities include Attack, Haste, Drain Attack, and Triple Shock, the latter inflicting Poison, Darkness, and Sleep on an enemy, as well as the auto-ability Ailment Def. (immunity to all status ailments). Total Limit Break, which allows HP and damage dealt to reach up to 99,999, can be learned by the Wasp Queen once her level is at least 30.
Fiend Tale[]
A notable Wasp Queen takes her name and title seriously. Having left her hive, Wasp Queen goes searching for her ideal mate. Eventually, she returns to the Macalania Woods and names Shinra her beloved. He uses a Cait Sith doll as a decoy to escape a potential marriage.
Etymology[]
A wasp is any insect of the order Hymenoptera and suborder Apocrita that is neither a bee nor an ant.
Queen bee is an adult, mated female that lives in a honey bee colony or hive. She is usually the mother of most, if not all, the bees in the hive. The queens are developed from larvae selected by worker bees and specially fed to become sexually mature. There is normally only one adult, mated queen in a hive, in which case the bees will usually follow and fiercely protect her. The term "queen bee" can be more generally applied to any dominant reproductive female in a colony of a eusocial bee species other than honey bees.
