Puts enemies to sleep with Yawn, and blows people out of the party with Sneeze.
Final Fantasy VI PlayStation Bestiary entry
The Wartpuck, formerly called Wart Puck and WartPuck, is an enemy in Final Fantasy VI fought in Zone Eater's Belly.
Stats[]
Battle[]
They can be a nuisance, as they can use Yawn to put characters to sleep, and have a chance to counter any attack with Snort to remove a party member from battle. Wartpuck enemies almost always show up with Kamui enemies, which will more than likely inflict Zombie on a character. Fira and Firaga spells are most effective against them.
Coliseum setup[]
If the player has significantly more HP than Wartpuck, they can simply hold the L and R button so the character does not do anything, and therefore will not run the chance of triggering Snort. Eventually, Wartpuck will use Self-Destruct (unless it runs out of MP) and kill itself, leaving the character alive.
Its regular attack may drop the character's HP too low for them to survive; having high Defense, along with Miracle Shoes/Angel Ring is useful if their Defense cannot be maxed out.
