The wandering minstrel is a non-playable character from Final Fantasy XIV. He appears in many sidequests and seasonal events in since version 1.0, and unlocks high-end content for players to challenge themselves with.

The wandering minstrel's counterpart on the First is the minstreling wanderer.

Appearance[]

The wandering minstrel dresses in a palette-swapped version of bard Artifact equipment. His bow is also a palette-swapped version of bard's Relic Weapon, the Artemis Bow. In A Realm Reborn he no longer wields the bow, but can always be seen carrying a harp.

In Stormblood, he also appears in Kugane, donning samurai artefact armor. In Endwalker he appears in Sharlayan dressed as a reaper. In Dawntrail he can be found in Tuliyollal as a viper.

Gameplay[]

The wandering minstrel was an allied NPC during the Recurring Bugs Recurring Bugs FATE in seasonal event The Rising in 2015.

The wandering minstrel serves as the unlock point for several Extreme trials and all Ultimate raids, provided their unlock conditions have been met.

Creation and development[]

His appearance is based on Naoki Yoshida, the director of the game.
