Once you enter the Narthex, you can't go back to that part of Orphan's Cradle. If you try, you'll end up in the original Tesseracts. On the plus side you can go back to Gran Pulse or Eden one more time :D But that's boring. You should go back once you're even more powerful! Good idea? Great. :D

Done upgrading equipment and leveling up your Crystariums? Great! Go ahead and get that vial of Ethersol before you go on. Because we really need it... >.>

Moment of truth, hero

Lightning

Wooo, epicness. Are you ready for this? Sure you are. I believe in you. Walk forward.

Our happy people walk with confidence and badassery. We jump down and notice more floating crystals. Then two bigger crystals emerge from the floor and we hear Barty's voice. The crystals turn out to be Dajh and Serah's, and with a wave of the staff the crystals shatter. Snow can't control himself cause he doesn't know better. After he's blown back, his comrads remind him that it's Barty, he does this to be evil and stupid. I barely know what this guy is saying. His words go in one ear and out the other.

Boss: Barthandelus
Paradigm Lightning Fang Hope
♦Guerilla Ravager Saboteur Synergist
Relentless Assault Ravager Commando Ravager
Aggression Commando Commando Ravager
Tri-disaster Ravager Ravager Ravager
Solidarity Commando Sentinel Medic
Combat Clinic Medic Sentinel Medic
Difficulty: Medium
HP: 5,227,500
Drops/Rewards: None
CP: None

This is probably nerve wracking if it's your first time. He's easier than he looks, don't worry.

Stay in Guerilla, but switch to Solidarity when your HP gets around half. Keep doing that until your party is buffed and he has at least 3 debuffs. Switch to Tri-disaster or Relentless Assault and stagger him, then switch to Aggression. Repeat the process. Reapply any debuffs that have worn off.

When he uses Ultima or Thanatosian Laughter, switch to Combat Clinic. Just repeat the process and you should have him down in about 5 minutes.

It sounds like he's finally dying :D Woo, but don't party yet, you happy people. Lightning senses that this isn't over yet. And she is correct. An even uglier thing emerges from the inky pool and starts talking. I still don't know what it's trying to say, but it intoduces itself as Orphan.

Boss: Orphan
Difficulty: Hard
HP: 6,780,000
Drops/Rewards: None
CP: None

First thing you need to do: SWITCH TO COMBAT CLINIC ASAP. The first thing he will do is Merciless Judgement. If you can't do it quick enough just retry, skip the cutscene and change your Paradigms. Once you're all healed to green, switch to Guerilla. Once he has 4 debuffs and you're all buffed, stagger him, then lay on the attacks.

Unfortunately, you can't really be prepared for Merciless Judgement. After the 1st stagger is over, be prepared. Once you see Consumate Darkness, immediately switch to Combat Clinic. Now Orphan can use Vile Exploitation, which can possibly cause Death on your whole party. He is also capable of using poison. If you're poisoned and he uses Merciless Judgement, you could lose. Always keep your HP in green, keep 4 debuffs on him, and a lot of buffs on you at all times and you should do well.

Cutscene break[]

Yup, a long few minutes of cutscenes. Some sort of spell wipes out our l'Cie except for Fang and Vanille. I like how wiped out Snow looks. It is still talking. It's like random background noises that no one pays attention to. Orphan is still trying to get that Ragnarok working, then Fang decides she'll sacrifice herself to please Orphan and save her friends. I guess that means hurting Vanille? ._. Whatever floats your boat, Fang >.>

Now I'm still not entirely sure what happens here, but clearly 4 out of 6 l'Cie turned Cie'th. Fang and Vanille are sad now. Our friends turned Cie'th(*sniff* Lightning ;_;) start beating up on Fang, then dog pile on top of her. Some drama, then more drama. Fang goes incomplete Ragnarok and attacks Orphan. He still isn't shutting up.

Flashbacks!! This time they're of the l'Cie sadness and hardships that we've gone through on this ridiculous quest. Back in real time, Fang isn't Ragnarok anymore and Orphan is pissed. It subjects Fang to a horrible cycle of pain. Horrible. Just horrible. ...-_- *headdesk* GIVE THEM A BREAK DAMN IT!! Then, yayyyy, Orphan's face spontaneously combusted! Our happy l'Cie are...l'Cie again. Just fal'Cie smoke and mirrors or did they will themselves back? I still don't really know, but I could go either way. Oooo! I love this song :3 Our l'Cie talk about a new vision that they've had. One where everyone is alive and happy. Our happy people did it, they've changed their Focus. Fang and Vanille are there too! ...;_; I'm not gonna cry...*sniff*

After one more flashback, Orphan's death cry interrupts the touching moment. That's right, Orphan, BURN! D:< Lightning! Punch his face into oblivion. Nevermind. The brands have turned white, just like Fang's. Yay! Now finally there's no more of Barty's irritatingly gross voice. But a new one emerges. Ugh! It's so ugly! D: Lightning, punch it's face into oblivion.

Boss: Orphan
Difficulty: Easy
HP: 3,390,000
Drops/Rewards: None
CP: None

Do you want 5 stars and that Superstar Trophy/Achievement? Look no further, for I have the solution. This strategy should easily finish off Orphan in 1:00 to 1:30 minutes, enough to get 5 stars and the Superstar Trophy/Achievement. Lightning should be the main party leader along with Fang and Hope and should be equipped with a maxed Tetradic Tiara giving her Protect, Shell, Veil, and Vigilance. Fang should be equipped with a Blessed Talisman to give her Faith. That should make Hope's role as Synergist easier and quicker. The party should start out with Guerilla. Orphan uses a move that can remove Haste if the people are too close, so by being Ravager the party can stay away and quickly fill the chain gauge. Just stack fire or something. Once Hope has buffed the party with at least Haste, Faith and Bravery, and Orphan has at least three debuffs, the party should switch immediately to Relentless Assault or Tri-disaster and stagger him. Once staggered, the party should switch to Aggression and keep pummeling until Orphan is dead.

Your Crystarium Expanded!!!

Ending[]

You've made it to the end, beat the final bosses, and felled Cocoon! Ya-wait. ._. Cocoon is falling D: l'Cie need to stick together in times like these. But Fang and Vanille have a long over due Focus that must be completed. The two finally form into Ragnarok and erect a crystal pillar to support Cocoon and save the world.

Snow&Serah reunite

Hugs <3

Well, I won't say much more during this ending. Just enjoy the HD beautifulness and the peacefulness of this ending. I really like My Hands. It's a good song, people need to be kinder to it. They just need to be kinder to this game in general. Anyway, this isn't really over...there's still missions out there to complete. If you need that guide, it's right here.

Serah&Lightning reunite

HUGS! X3

I can't end this without mentioning Vanille and Fang. They're stuck in Crystal Stasis until they are called upon again. It's sad knowing that their new dreams never happened. ;_; I wanna see them again. But with our losses comes two people to fill what was lost long ago. Serah and Dajh come out of their eternal slumber and reunite with their family. Happiness!!!

I hope you're pleased with this game, and I hope you had a lot of fun. I hope this walkthrough was helpful to you. Thank you all for playing and reading. Peace out for now :)
