Completely Random Introductory Quote-

Beware of the man who works hard to learn something, learns it, and finds himself no wiser than before. He is full of murderous resentment of people who are ignorant without having come by their ignorance the hard way.

Kurt Vonnegut, Cat's Cradle

Taejin's Tower Revisited[]

Revenge of the Gelatitan[]

Back to the Circle[]

We left off in Aggra's Pasture, we'll come back and explore the rest of that side area later. For now you should hop on the nearby chocobo and head back to the Circle of Cie'th Stones in Eastern Tors. Accept mission 60, then teleport to the Palisades at Taejin's Tower. You should be able to run all the way through here without getting into a single battle, then take the elevator up to the sixth floor. Go forward to the first room on your left and get in the elevator to the Apex. Make sure you save up here, you don't want to make that long walk again if you fail to get 5 stars.

Mission 60- Degela Vu[]

Wow, just wow. That is the worst attempt at a pun I have ever seen. I went back to the ladies for this battle, and only made a slight modification to the standard random encounter deck.

Use equipment that protects against Water and Physicals, and boost Vanille's HP. If you haven't equipped that Growth Egg yet, why the hell not? After all that trouble we just went through to get it, don't forget to use it. ALWAYS.

What's the difference between this and the "C" class Gelatitan we fought in Taejin's Tower? There's three of them this time. It's tough to get a 5 star here because they take some time to stagger, especially when you have to stay healed up after they spam Waterga on you. They're very difficult to sneak up on here, so I recommend using a Deceptisol. Start off with Relentless Assault and kill one off during the free initial stagger. That should be more than enough to turn the tide in your favor. Use Smart Bomb/ Variety to work the next one up to stagger, and inflicting Fog is helpful. They like to all use Waterga at the same time, which isn't too bad except it can send you flying. When you stagger him, use Relentless Assault to finish him off, then work the last one the same way. The only difference is you can use Aggression for the kill if you want to.

Completing the Tower[]

The Cloven Spire[]

There is one more mark to take down before you can leave this tower forever. Look for a dark red dot on the mini-map, very close to the last battle. There is another one of those statues like the ones that helped you through here the first time around. It turns out that there's one more floor which you haven't seen yet, so examine him to make another elevator appear next to him. Obviously, you'll want to get on and see where it takes you.

Seventh Tier[]

Kill off the 2 Yakshas and 2 Yakshini, then examine the statue in here to make the tower reconfigure one last time. Outside this room is a Collector's Catalog, pick it up and then ride back up to the roof.

Mission 27- Mithridates, the Lone[]

There is a Cie'th Stone up here, check it for the next mission. Equip up before you get on the elevator, because when you hit the ground floor it's go time. Note- he will ONLY appear if you ride all the way from the apex to the ground floor.

Equip Lightning resistant accessories, and Royal/Imperial Armlets are good too.

Lead with Convalescence, because he will always open the battle with Miasma. This can put Slow, Deprotect, Poison, and most importantly Deshell on the entire party. They're not 100% to hit, but you want those Medics casting Esuna at least until Deshell is gone. In the meantime, use Libra and then cast Haste on everyone. When you're good to go, hit him with one round of Relentless Assault before switching to Tri-Disaster to stagger him. After a few physicals, you will see Levinbolt, which does decent damage to the whole party. If you have Deshell it will destroy you, but otherwise it's not a big deal. Use Diversity to heal since that Commando will keep the chain gauge from falling too quickly, he takes some time to stagger. When he finally does, stick with Relentless Assault all the way and do as much damage as possible. You might even want to use Renew to heal so you can stay on offense. I needed a second stagger to finish him, but really the battle was over as soon as I cured Deshell.

That's All, Folks[]

I know this was a short page, but there aren't any more missions to do here. We'll take on another area on the next page.
