A short one, this time. It's just that the Caladbolg and Nirvana are practically next to each other, and there's nothing else that needs to go here. The Celestial Weapons get their own analysis page, but it's not part of the 'Sidequest Walkthrough' that this has turned into. There's one more thing after this that I want to cover in this section before I go on to individual strategy pages.

Calm Lands[]

Item Checklist[]

Item Amount
Caladbolg 1
Nirvana 1
Mars Sigil 1
Calm lands2 ffx

Talk to the Chocobo trainer by the Travel Agency. Agree to race her. If you want to maximise Tidus' ultimate weapon, you need to complete the race in under 0.00 seconds. Check here for the racing guide.

After you win the race, you'll notice someone standing nearby. This is the guy who's been blocking the secret path on the northwestern part. Head to the back of the Calm Lands, against the cliff edge. You're near enough there already. Head right down a slope to find a glyph in the wall. Present the Celestial Mirror to receive the Caladbolg, Tidus' Celestial Weapon.

Now ride the Chocobo to the Monster Arena. You can use the Celestial Mirror to open the chest, which contains the Nirvana, Yuna's Celestial Weapon. If you've caught enough monsters to unlock 10 Conquest Creations, you'll receive the Mars Sigil.

You should now have every Celestial Weapon, Crest and Sigil (bar possibly Venus and/or Jupiter), so go to Macalania Woods and power them up.

From this point on, I'm going to assume that you have fully-powered Celestial Weapons for every character you're planning on using, as well as (at least) one piece of blank 'Tetra' armour for those characters too. There's one final place to visit, and I'm sure you've been wondering when I'd get round to it. Well, that time is now.

Next stop: Omega Ruins.
