Final Fantasy Tactics Lion War logo

Right now I don't feel like writing a funny intro, I'm TenzaZangetsu.

Flashback (the death of Barbaneth Beoulve)

The moment you go to next place you will have a scene. We are now in a Flashback inside a Flashback (these things are weird), we are now in a room in the last days of Barbaneth Beoulve, one of the man who help finished the Fifty Years' War, the little girl that is crying is Alma Beoulve, Ramza's little sister who doesn't want see her father dead. His father tries to act tough and no let Alma cry, the two other guys in the room are Zalbaag Beoulve, commander of the Order of the Northern Sky (he is the force of the Order) and Dycedarg Beoulve, the leader of the Order of the Northern Sky (he is the brain of the Order) are Ramza's older brothers.

Zalbaag and Dycedarg inform the Duke about the end of the Fifty Years' War, he seems very happy about that, then Ramza comes in to say goodbye to his father in his last moments of life, then Barbaneth tells him that he make Delita in the Akademy, he was very pleased about that, the old man say his last words to his son and he die old in bed (a reference about what Ramza says about the Corpse Brigade in our last battle), after that, the Flashback end.

Now you can go to next place, in this place is going to happen a storyline battle right now, actually, every time you see a place in red, a storyline battle will appear.

Strategy

We found ourself with soldiers of the Corpse Brigade that are punching a guy over there, we know have two choices: Save the guy or defeat all enemies. Because i don't give a rat's ass for this bastard, we will defeat all enemies (if you win the battle with this choice, your units will win ten points in Bravery, so it's a better idea choose this objective).

Your party can be form the way you want but you must have at least one Chemist in battle because the enemy doesn't have a healer so you will have the advantage in the battle, Delita will focus on protect the bastard, that is a easy job for him because he is a Chemist if you choose protect him, if he dies, it's game over so it's better just kill all enemies. The bastard is quite strong thanks to his weapon, the Long Sword, so at least he can dealt some damage by himself.

The enemy has a new unit that you haven't see until now, the Thief, this one is not very dangerous but he can use "Steal Heart" to your female units, so don't bring any female unit to this battle. You also see in this battle, the first monster of the game, Panther, this monster only has two attacks, one regular attack and a attack that doesn't cause damage but gives the poison status to your enemies, he also (like all the monsters in the game), has Counter as a innate ability, every time you attack him, he will counter with a attack just as strong as his regular attacks, kill Pantera quick with Ramza and a backup Squire.

About the enemy's Squires, take care of them with the bastards's attacks and your physical attackers, your Chemist's Potions and Ramza's Chant should fill the healing position. Try give Delita a few turns so he can get EXP and JP.

After Battle

Argath at Mandalia Plains

One of the worst moments of the game

Ramza and Delita start chating with the bastard, they talk about many things until the bastard says that he is one of the soldiers of the Marquis Messam Elmdore and that the marquis was kidnapping by the Corpse Brigade, after that we must go to the Eagrose Castle, to inform Dycedarg about that, the bastard joins the party as a guest so it's time for another character box:

Ally Character: The bastard...I mean Argath Thadalfus
Algus
Sprite:FFT-Algus
Zodiac Sign: Virgo.
Special Job: Improved Squire.
Weapons: Knives, Swords and Hammers.
Command Ability: Fundaments.

Argath Thadalfus (in this walktrough will be known as the bastard): Is one of the few characters in Final Fantasy that I actually hate. Really, you might not see it yet but you will start see how stupid and annoying this dude is, his personality is stupid and he has a arrogance that he doesn't deserve (I'm the only one with delusions of grandeur around here), I hate him when I was a kid and I still hate him.

The bastard's special job class is again a improved Squire, believe it or not, I cannot think in a use for the bastard, wait, I got it!, make him a knight, when he learns "Rend Weapon" or "Rend Armor", turn him into a Archer, that way he would destroy the equipment and weapons of your enemies and it's going to do that from long distance because you can't train him and he is weaker than Delita or our hero Ramza.

Remember back in the character box of Ramza, that I tell you that you will learn to love him?, well, you will learn to hate Argath... I mean the bastard, sorry.

Before going to next place, take the bastard's Long Sword and give it to Ramza, you want that our hero dealt more damage and the sword works better with Ramza than a stupid AI unit.

Eagrose Castle

Now the three Knight's Apprentice start talking with Dycedarg, the conversation is pretty good until the bastard start demanding a army to rescue the marquis. Dycedarg put the little idiot in his place and give us the order of making guard around the castle, what?, I didn't buy the game to be a stupid guard.

FFT's Party Roster

You'll be expending a lot of time in this section

Now we are outside the castle, the bastard starts telling us his story but because I think that he is a moron, I never listen to him. After that, Alma, Zalbaag and Tietra, Delita's little sister, came in to talk to us, I never really like this long talks, after some chating, we decide to go to the Merchant City of Dorter, after all the guys goes, Alma tells Ramza that Tietra is been teased in school in his school for being low born, Ramza cannot do anything about it and he decides to leave.

After the scenes end,you will see new places to go but we are not going to those places yet, you can now buy equipment in Eagrose, it's mostly equipment for your heavy units, there is now in store a crossbow, just buy one and turn one of your units with high Bravery into a Archer, the other high Bravery unit should become a Knight, that way you can give him/her the heavy equipment, the last high Bravery unit should stay Squire to learn "JP Boost" and "Move+1", you can also buy Long Swords for your attackers. Your two units with high Faith will become a Black and White Mage.

Before you go to the next battle, train a little bit in Mandalia, just enough so your Black Mage learn the three basic spells, "Thunder", "Fire" and "Blizzard". Your White mage should learn "Cure", "Protect" and "Shell". With the money of those battles, buy the equipment that you haven't buy yet and a couple of Battle Boots, give them to any unit.

Now, we continue our journey on the next page!!
