Ramza enters in a battlefield that looks a lot like the one of the South Wall of Fort Besselat. A mysterious voice starts talking crap that no one cares. Of course! It's Argath, the bastard! He has being revived by Elmdore's powers to get his revenge. Please, we owned you back in Ziekden Fortress, we can do it again. This comes with a bright side, we can now kill the bastard again! HAHAHAHA!

You're dead! AGAIN!!!

As much of pleasure I may have for killing him, he's not that easy. His Job Class, Deathknight, is nothing but a cheap copy of Gaffgarion's Fell Knight Class but the bastard is far stronger than Gaffgarion and I must say he does have a good set of abilities. He can attack from any height thanks to "Ignore Elevation", you can't steal his equipment or crush it due to "Safeguard". If his HP goes too low, "Critical: Recover HP" it is going to fully heal him. He can also heal himself with "Shadowblade" and deal damage at the same time. He wears a Mirror Mail, which gives "Auto-Reflect", meaning that you can't use Magic against him. You have to face Ultima Demons too and you know how strong they are. "Unholy Darkness" can do like 200 of damage, pretty dangerous.

If you come at high levels, this can be very easy. Ramza can take care of the bastard all by himself while the rest of the party kills the Ultima Demons. The Thunder God can kill one of them with one attack, Balthier and Agrias can also do the same thing. I have seen "Jump" work wonders here, bring your Dragoon/Thief to do some damage. If you see Ramza is having troubles against the bastard, use "Sanguine Sword" to absorb the bastard's HP and heal yours. It is kinda cool to watch Ramza and the bastard attacking each other with "Shadowblade" and "Sanguine Sword" until the bastard cries for his mommy.

Strategy[edit source]

The Marquis is doom by now, seriously. He's against the wall and then he throw us something really obvious: Alma was never at Limberry! In that moment he becomes in Zalera, the Death Seraph, another of my Summons in FFXII, one of the crappy ones actually but which Summon of FFXII isn't crappy? Melia comes in and she doesn't want to kill us anymore, instead she is going to help us kill Zalera.

This fight is a bit odd. Zalera and his Knights are in front of you while the Skeletons are behind you. Those Knight by some reason are not using equipment or weapons and they have the Thunder God's "Swordplay" but they can't use none of those skills because they don't have Swords, morons, all they can do is fight barehand. The Skeletons are going to have the same levels as you but they don't have any strong attack to be a major threat but if you put your guard down, they can kill you quickly. Zalera is a wild card: He has a full set of abilities and Magic to hurt you badly: "Blindja", "Confuja", "Sleepja" and "Toadja", all deadly status effect Magics while "Flareja" and "Gravija" are two of the best offensive Magics in the game. "Bind", "Nightmare" and "Fowlheart" gives Stop, Disable and either Sleep or Doom respectively. "Darkness" just gives Blind, you can live with that.

Now, my favorite part: The killing. Melia is behind your team and she will probably go kill those Skeletons, this work at your since you don't have to waste units to attack them but send a backup unit to help Melia because she can't do it all by herself. I strongly suggest Balthier for the duty. The rest should focus on Zalera, if you use the Agrias-Thunder God-Ramza trio, you'll probably win no issue. To solve the problem of Zalera's negative status Magics, bring your White Mage to use "Esuna" and heal your status. Keep throwing attacks and you are going to eventually, win.

After Battle[edit source]

After the death of Zalera and the Marquis, Ramza confronts Melia. The Templar doesn't believe of the Lucavi's power. Ramza says that these demons of the legends can be defeated. Melia menstions that his father gave Dycedarg the Capricorn Zodiac Stone. So now we must go to Eagrose but Melia joins our party so it is time for another character box!

Playable Character: Melia Tengille
FFT Meliadoul Tengille Portrait.png
Sprites: FFT-Meliadoul.gif
Zodiac Sign: Capricorn.
Special Job: Divine Knight.
Weapons: Swords, Knight Swords, Crossbows, Spears and Bags.
Command Ability: Unyeilding Blade .

Melia Tengille: Is the daughter of Folmarv Tengille and the brother of Isilud Tengille. Nothing else, she's actually one of the characters with less relevance who joins your party and like most cases, it is just so sad but it could be worse. You could be playing Covenant of the Plume where the characters disappear in the plot once they join your party but still fun as hell, I advice you to play it.

Melia isn't an amazing unit, either. The Thunder God has all of her "Crushing" tricks and more while Agrias is far stronger than her so she shouldn't be in your main because you will lose one unit slot. Besides of teaching her special skills, I will advice you to teach her some White Magic Spells because she is actually really good at it. Not a bad unit but not a amazing one either.

Because I think this page is getting long, we'll continue in the next page.
