Hey, it's me, TenzaZangetsu, It's been a while since I make a edit in this walkthrough and this is due to the stupid school, seriously, that place doesn't help anyone.
We now back in the present after our long journey in the past, Ramza, now with his badass purple armor, now wants to go after Delita to rescue Ovelia and search for answers about his alliance with Duke Goltanna, Agrias and Gaffgarion will join our little party, with three generics units, so it's character box time!:
|Ally Character: Goffard Gaffgarion|
Goffard Gaffgarion: Is the shame of the Dark Knight clan, he was supposed to be one of the strong and badass characters but Gaffgarion highly disappointed me, I was hoping a contract for all our playthrough but this bastard is just a big traitor, yes, that's right, he is going to betray us, good thing that he is not going to last very long (yes, I know, too many spoilers, if you don't want to see it, then don't come to my Walkthrough).
Gaffgarion's special Job Class is a Fell Knight, so he can use Swordskills, those are attacks that you can use when a unit a Sword, they can perform those skills with a Sword. His Swordskills attacks are just two attacks: "Duskblade", which drains the target's MP to recover his own and "Shadowblade", which does the same thing but with the HP, very helpful against tough enemies.
Gaffgarion won't be in your party for very long, so keep him in his Fell Knight job and you will be just fine with him.
Since the three other units are generics, I don't have to make more character boxes and I'll do Agrias's later but still you need to know more about Ramza's and the Party's equipment and skills:
Ramza now has in his Squire's Skill set the new ability, "Steel", this very useful because it raises up the bravery of your units, this is excellent for your physical attacker because the effect is permanent, learn it quick. You may be asking yourself this question: What I'm going to do with this generics', well you can turn them into your errand runners or you can train them to try jobs for fun and to try experiments and different combinations with them but don't kick them out, you are going to need for a sidequest that you don't want to miss.
A Knight in a gold outfit is talking to a mercenary, he wants to pay him to kill us but the mercenary wants more money, the Knight manage to get a price and that's when our party enters to action, the Knight leaves the battlefield and the mercenary calls his own party, Gaffgarion is ready to kick some ass and we are ready too!

There is a funny fact about this fight, the enemy has a very good team, a good combination between Magic and power but there is a bad news for the enemy: They are AI Units!, that means that they will make stupid mistakes that a regular player will not do.
Now let's talk about the battle itself: You won't have problems in this battle because you have Gaffgarion and Agrias, if they focus their Swordskills in one unit, that unit is finish, besides, Gaffgarion can heal himself with "Shadowblade" but Agrias will may need you support. Bring the three the generics to train them, their stats may be lower than the stats of the rest of your party. Ramza can come to this battle as a Monk to deal some real damage, Archers are not that useful because the battlefield is quite close, Knight and Monks are good choices if you want win this fight fast. Magic classes like a Black, White or Time Mages are great to support you other units, specially the Time Mage, as I say before, speed is very important in this game and more in this fight due to the little space of the battlefield.
As I say before, the enemy's team can be a bit of a threat. Those Archers can make some real damage if they find a good position to attack, don't let that happen. The Black Mages can hurt your light units with powerful spells but there is a bright side, since the battlefield is too small, the Black Magic can also hurt the enemy's units and since they all are light units, they are going to die soon, finish the mages first. The only threat of the Thieves are their abilities to steal your equipment but with a few attacks of Ramza as a Monk and a backup physical unit.
After the battle, nothing happens, you collect your money and you leave the battlefield. Before we go to the next place, you need to do some thing first:
Ramza needs to get serious with the Monk job, teach him Chakra to heal your weak units's HP and your Mages's MP, Aurablast and Shockwave are both great ideas to deal damage from long range with your Monk, if you want, teach him Counter and Steel to boost his strenght, you can do this training with other unit if you want to trun him into a Monk. In another issue, Spears are now in stores! so you can turn your Thief into a Dragoon but before that, you need to teach him (he has to be a male unit) all the Stealing skills to make him a perfect Dragoon/Thief. Your Time Mage and your Mystic are probably your newest job classes at this point of the game, learn Haste and Slow to your Time Mage and you'll be just fine with this class, your Mystic's skill command is useless but this class has awesome Support and Movement abilities, just try to learn Manafont but it isn't totally neccesary by now. Your White Mage must learn Raise to revive your units and, if you want, Esuna to heal bad status of your enemies, give Manafont to this class. Finally, your Black Mage Arcane Strenght to boost Black Magic, you must also learn all the Level two spells.
Go to the cities to buy your new equipment, Weapons and items. You obviously need to train in Mandalia (you can train your new generics to make them stronger). You can also do Errands and listen Rumors if you like those types of things (I'm not).
With this, we finish this page, in the next page, we will meet our first special playable unit since Ramza, he can be useful if you know how to use it.
