A good-humored young man who travels the world as one of Yuna's guardians. While he always looks out for others, his dependence on the teachings of Yevon oftentimes causes him to lose sight of reality. Wakka's biggest passion is playing for and coaching his blitzball team, the Besaid Aurochs.

Description

Wakka is a playable character in Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia who can be recruited during Chapter 6 of the main storyline.

Story[]

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow. (Skip section)

Chapter 6[]

Wakka is recruited in Domina Wastelands, after the party fights a manikin of him. Yuna finds and heals him.

Lost Chapter: A Burning Passion[]

Wakka journeys with Snow Villiers to close a Torsion shortly after he joins the warriors of light. When Snow affirms that he truly intends to protect each and every of his new allies, Wakka questions the authenticity of such a bold and wide claim. Snow responds to his fellow journeyers, also including Ace, Steiner and Ramza, by explaining that he fights because he doesn’t want to lose anyone he loves. He fights for them especially because in the world from which he came, he was so uncertain of what the truth was that all he had to cling to were his ties to his loved ones. All the others resonate with various elements of principled approach to fighting.

Lost Chapter: The Power of Valor[]

The warriors encounter Cater in an abandoned palace after Materia summons her to the world of light. Rem and King brief her on her purpose in this world, and she sprints off in search of torsions. Wakka and the others catch up to her. When Cater reassures that she can take care of herself, Layle cautions that people with that mindset tend to be the ones finding themselves in the most trouble. Wakka cautions her to listen to Layle, although he admires her confidence as she insists in splitting up to cover more ground. The group convinces Cater to fall back and join the warriors of light as they move together to close the torsion.

  • Wakka is partner to Faris in her Force Mode. Both are closely associated with the Water element in their respective extracanonical appearances and are also captains (of a blitzball team and a pirate crew, respectively). Their attacks focus mostly on debuffing the enemy as well.
