The Vrsabha is a spear in the Zodiac versions of Final Fantasy XII. It is the upgraded version of the Dragon Whisker.

Over the Zodiac Spear, the Vrsabha has a significant evasion increase, is far more likely to spawn combos, and is significantly more likely to inflict Disable on-hit. However, its 33 deficit in attack power makes it the inferior of the two weapons.

Its license costs 100 LP and it can be used by the Uhlan. It is a rare drop from Evil Spirit that sometimes spawns in Great Crystal where Forbiddens are fought. Leveling up the chain with the Forbiddens greatly improves the chance of Vrsabha dropping. It is also a rare steal from Diabolos in Stage 72 of the Trial Mode.

Etymology

Vṛṣabha, or Vrishabha, is a month in Indian solar calendar. It corresponds to the zodiacal sign of Taurus, and overlaps with about the second half of May and about the first half of June in the Gregorian calendar.

It is called Dragon Whisker L in the Japanese version, with all the letters at the ends of the newly added upgraded weapons spelling out "FINAL FANTASY".
