Guard Source boosts a character's Vitality by one. It is a boss reward from Dark Nation after battling Rufus on the roof of the Shinra Headquarters. It can also be found in Kalm (last house in a row, upstairs in a cabinet), Junon (last house in first area, 3rd floor), City of the Ancients (first house when going right from the intersection), Rocket Town (after getting Highwind, in room behind item shop), Midgar when trying to stop the cannon (after fight with Turks in winding tunnel, head up), Northern Cave (spiral path second chest x1; choose right when prompted on second screen x1; at area that resembles a maze jump off ledge, choose right when prompted, jump into cave while facing left x1).

They can be morphed from Unknown 2, Bagnadrana, Spiral, Maximum Kimaira and Armored Golem and obtained as a reward by completing the Turtle's Paradise sidequest in Wutai Village.

Final Fantasy VIII

Vit Up can only be mugged once from NORG's Left Pod, and as such can only be refined from Knight's Code x1 for Vit Up x1, or Adamantine x10 for Vit Up x1.
