Battle

Novus

Battling Vayne Novus.

When fighting Novus, the party can either Berserk one character, or rely on Gabranth to attack the Sephira Swords. Whatever the player's choice would be, they should focus all of their fire power on Vayne since most of the Swords move pretty fast. The party should quickly Dispel his positive status effects, and cast some positive statuses on the player party members. Judge Gabranth may have pretty good stats, but he rarely heals. Vayne will randomly use his two cinematic attacks, Azure Vortice and Contempt, which deals around 600 - 1,500+ damage to all characters in range. Even all the Sephira Swords are destroyed Vayne can still execute his cinematic attacks; the swords will not disappear when destroyed, rather, they will surround Vayne. When 50% of his HP is drained, a cutscence will follow, and Vayne regains his positive statuses, at which point the player should recast Dispel. Vayne will attempt to execute more special attacks, such as Tree of Sephira, Inviolable Wall, and Limit Break, which increase Vayne's overall stats. He can also build a Magick Paling, which negates all magick attacks. His final cinematic attack, Tree of Sephira, hits about 2,000+ to all characters in range.
