Miasma deals both damage and poison, which can quickly rack up damage on even the tougher units. Zombify is one of the few ways to inflict the undead status on a player, meaning that healing spells will not work on them. Since the Vampire is weak to Holy, White Magic spells, like Curaga, damage them. Vampire can teleport freely, thus able to can maneuver around terrain and through enemies.

LV? S-Flare is learnable as Blue Magic, but its learning conditions are very specific; the Blue Mage's level must be the same as the Vampire using it. A Beastmaster can help speed up the process. Shadowflare is strong, and thus the player should ensure the Blue Mage does not die while being hit with it. Shadowflare is situational, but can be useful. Since it does damage even to the caster, it would be a good idea to supply them with equipment that reduces, nullifies, or absorbs Dark damage. The player should be careful and not use Shadowflare when it would end up hitting more of the player's units rather than the enemies.

Etymology

Vampires are mythological or folkloric beings who subsist by feeding on the life essence, generally in the form of blood, of living creatures. Although vampiric entities have been recorded in many cultures, and may go back to "prehistoric times", the term vampire was not popularized until the early 18th century.
