Protects against transformations
Description
Vaccine is a late game battle item item in Final Fantasy VII that casts Resist on one ally. The Resist status locks in the target's status, both making them immune to all status effects, including Instant Death, and locking any current status effects the character has on them, positive or negative. It does not protect against statuses granted as handicaps on the Battle Square, meaning that when applied, it is more detrimental than it is helpful as the player cannot then remove the negative status effects applied. Resist status is removed with DeSpell (but not with Holy Torch) and White Wind.

Use[]
Vaccine is extremely situational, as for when the player needs it, they should already have access to the Ribbon accessory which prevents all ailments besides Instant Death. If the player has not obtained the Ribbon and need protection against statuses, Vaccine is preferred over the Resist spell due to the massive MP cost of the latter. It is advised to use the W-Item duplication bug for additional Vaccines as it is cumbersome to obtain additional Vaccines.
