Well, if you are up to it, I suppose I'd be silly to pass up the offer of help; just be sure to move them all to the proper name (zerobandwidth). If I find myself with nothing to do at work at any point this week (improbable but possible), I'll split the work with you. ^^

I've played a few other tactical RPGs -- Stars! (PC), Kartia (PS1), Vandal Hearts (PS1), Vandal Hearts 2 (PS1), TacticsOgre (GBA), Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (GBA), Disgaea (PS2, PSP) -- and enjoyed all of them, but the original FFT is the one that really got me hooked on the genre. I'd also recommend the "Chronicles of the Sword" mode in SoulCalibur III as a similar gameplay experience. Strangely, though I've been pretty successful in turn-based tactical RPGs, I'm absolutely hopeless at real-time strategy games such as Homeworld and Warcraft. Go figure.

Organization of pages within the walkthrough must remain exactly the same.

I've begun moving the pages myself. The overview and all missions up to 2.7 have been moved. There is a Progress Report table on the main Discussion page; changes should be tracked there.

Moving stuff Edit

I moved about 30 of your walkthrough pages. I hope I didn't mess anything up. For some reason, the subdirectory text wasn't showing up on it afterwards... but they didn't seem to be doing that for any of the stuff that had been moved prior either.

I'm gonna try getting the Firefox install aplication from a friend of mine. As I don't have a memory stick, I just wanted to make sure if you could put it onto a CD. Can you or not? If you could tell me I'd appreciate it, thanks.

BTW, thanks for all your help in my IE problems and hopefully getting Firefox will solve it.

The latest version of the install file is only 3 MB; you could fit about 266 copies of it on a CD. ^^

Thanks, I should be getting it on Friday so hopefully edit again then.

Thanks again.

FFT WalkthroughEdit

Hello Zerobandwidth, haven't seen you round in a while ^^ I'm just dropping by to transfer a message an anonymous editor made, which he hoped to direct towards you but instead put it in the mainspace. 8bit 22:13, January 23, 2010 (UTC)

First: apologies. I'm not at a place where I can create or sign into an account, and this computer is slow enough that I can't really find how to contact Zerobandwidth directly without editing his page, so I figure that's a "no-no".

Second: Zerobandwidth! You have an excellent guide, however, I wanted to help improve it, if you're interested. While the guide you provide is FFT:WotL dialogue, at least for the PS version you're missing some from the battle of Orbonne (against Wiegraf). Several turns in (I don't know how many, or even if it's a set number of turns, or what the deal is) in the original PS version, this dialogue occurs (note that each set of square brackets, [], is a single dialogue box):

Ramza: [I pity you, Wiegraf!] [Even if you couldn’t fulfill your dream, your people wouldn’t have forgotten you.] [Your ideals and actions inspired your people and even stirred up the old Noble customs!] [Your actions have meaning only if they hold true to your ideals.] [Miluda and your old comrades would be disappointed with your current choice of actions.] [If you need someone else to fulfill your dreams, it loses its value. Wouldn’t you agree?]

Wiegraf: [You say your are different? You say you depend on no one?] [You’ll never know the feeling of the ‘Meager’!] [You may think you know it, but you’ve never lived it! You’d never know!] [‘Reality’ is far harsher than you can possibly imagine.] [Why do you blame me? You have no right to blame me!]

I was not able to make any additional dialogue appear after that, but I thought you'd like to know. I don't know if you are interested in adding it or not: it's your option, obviously. You might want to check it out yourself in the War of the Lions edition. The way I survived the battle for so long was 1) Stealing Wiegraf's Diamond Blade, 2) using a dancer with "Nameless Dance" to inflict tons of status ailments, and using Agrias' holy sward to devistate the enemies. I spent some time stealing Wiegraf's stuff before this dialogue opened up on Ramza's turn. I'm sorry I can't be more specific, but I had your guide open, when the dialogue came up, so I copied it to give to you when I could. Anyhoo, here you go!

Again, apoligies if I did this the wrong way. If someone else reads this and knows how to contact Zerobandwidth, please do so. I'm on these forums roughly never, so I probably won't know if this is ever answered. If anyone happens to frequent nuklearpower forums, I'm tacticslion there. I'm giving this to Zerobandwidth because he's the only one I've seen that provides the full dialogue (or seemingly close to it) and I thought he might be interested.

Peace,

FFT questions Edit

Yo, on Final Fantasy Tactics for the PS1 what is the purpose of setting a birthday? Or is it just one of those no point things. — post by anonymous user at 76.25.163.181

A unit's zodiac sign factors into the effectiveness of that unit's abilities. Given two units Alice and Bob, Alice's abilities will be more or less effective against Bob's defense based on the "compatibility" of their zodiac signs. I forget exactly how it works but IIRC it's covered by the BradyGames strategy guide, among other resources. I didn't investigate it enough to note it in my walkthrough.
