Not really. Just move one article that has a million subpages: CASCADE! Sure, it's easily reverted but it pisses all over RC. Legendary form of vandalism, that.  ILHI 16:13, October 21, 2009 (UTC)

My favorite Doctors are the 10th doctor, the 4th doctor, and the 8th doctor. I'm pretty sure it's in that order too. I have seen the BBC movie and the old film the five doctors. Any way thanks for the upload invite. I first joined the Kingdom Hearts wiki and they have a serious policy against it so I think that's why I stuck to photo bucket. How do you look through images any way? I only know how to see what's listed in articles. Thanks again, Holly~

## Linking Woes Edit

You seem to be an experienced gnome, so I wanted to ask you a question about linking. When a template has a link to a disambiguation, a page doesn't disappear from the "What links here" page of that disabiguation, even after I fix the link in the template (I hope that wording made sense). Any idea why this happens? AstrialJam 22:38, November 16, 2009 (UTC)

You have to wait for the cache to refresh. Alternatively, you can go on each of these pages, click "edit this page", and then click "Save page". That'll remove it from the list there and then. Otherwise, wait for cache refresh which happens like everyday or something.  ILHI 22:42, November 16, 2009 (UTC)

## Re: Complexity of EXPLODING complex numbersEdit

Hmm. Wouldn't |z1 + z2 + z3| <= |z1| + |z2| + |z3|, not >=? If any of these complex numbers are negative, the statement is true, because the term on the left is decreased (|5 - 4 + 3| is < |5| + |-4| + |3|), and if none are negative, the terms are equal. Um... there's a term for this... subadditivity, I think, but I'm not sure now to use it for a proof. (I haven't done any complicated proofs like you have, just the simple geometry ones XD) If a complex number is a + bi... Hmm, you can't really factor anything out since a and b may differ. ## Should induction take half an hour? :PEdit

Alright. here is the proof for Yuan ^^

Prove that $11^n - 1$ is divisible by 10 for $n \ge 1$

Step 1: Prove $11^n - 1$ is divisible by 10 for n = 1.

f (1) = $11^1 - 1 = 11 - 1 = 10$ 10 is divisible by 10; thus true for n = 1.

Step 2: Assume $11^k - 1$ is divisible by 10.

Step 3: Prove $11^n - 1$ is divisible by 10 for $n \ge 1$ for n = k + 1

f (k + 1) = $11^{k + 1} - 1$
$11^{k + 1} - 1$ = $11 * 11^k - 1$
$(11 * 11^k) - 1$ = $11 * (11^{k + 1} - 1) - 1 + 11$
$11 * (11^{k + 1} - 1) - 1 + 11$ = $11 * (11^k - 1) + 10$
$[11 * (11^k - 1) + 10] / 10$ = $[11 * (11^k - 1) / 10] + [10 / 10]$
By Step 2, we know $11^k - 1$ is divisible by 10. So, $11 * 11^k - 1$ is divisible by 10, because it is a multiple of $11^k - 1$. 10 is also divisible by 10. $11 * (11^k - 1) + 10$ is divisible by 10.

Step 4: $\therefore \!\,$, proved by mathematical induction.

You cans make EoS edit? :D 8bit 02:35, December 20, 2009 (UTC)

Nicely done! *restrains urge to make nitpicks about setting out* :P. You missed something easy, though...
Step 2: Assume true for $n = k$
ie $11^{k} - 1$ is divisible by 10.
Let $11^k - 1 = 10m$ for integer $m \ge 1.$
So when you get to:
Step 3: Prove for n = k + 1.
$11^{k + 1} - 1 = 11 \times 11^k - 11 + 10 = 11 \times (11^k - 1) + 10 = 11 \times (10m) + 10 = 10 (11m + 1)$
Which is divisible by 10.
Stupid Latex not allowing me to align equal signs. Easier? And I owe someone an EoS edit now. ^^; — 02:58, December 20, 2009 (UTC)

## About those Scans Edit

You think you could do some translating? Please? There is a forum post about it now. FaythOfFenrir 03:48, December 31, 2009 (UTC)

Actually, someone else said that the scans were from Shonen Jump. FaythOfFenrir 06:46, December 31, 2009 (UTC)

That makes me doubt it further - if they were from Jump, and the upload owns the magazine, why would they say it's from Famitsu? — 06:49, December 31, 2009 (UTC)
The uploader isn't the original source, I think they got them from another site. It's possible, if that's the case, they just got mistaken, since IIR Famitsu was the magazine doing the Dissidia articles last year. Doreiku Kuroofangu 06:50, December 31, 2009 (UTC)

## Well...Edit

Well... I read it, but not very thoroughly (I had like two edits at the time, copyright was not in my mind). But now it starts to have some significance. Soon, I'll do it! (But not today, it's [nearly] New Year's Day, it's a big family reunion for me! Starting in... 8 hours!) While we're at it: you might be the first here to live the New Year, so...
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! KujaRhapsodos 14:20, December 31, 2009 (UTC)

There, I read it for real. But until I read the thing about how to upload images, it still won't be very useful :D ! See ya! KujaRhapsodos 04:16, January 1, 2010 (UTC)

Hey, about the greek letters. Well, thanks to you, I can now type them! But the problem is, they don't show on the page... See here at the Quotes/Villain/Sephiroth. There are 3 or four things that didn't appear... Help? KujaRhapsodos 11:38, January 3, 2010 (UTC)

I think it's because you used [itex] as well as the Greek letters. I think there are alternate codes for them. Here's a table of them.
You're also a WoT reader? — 11:53, January 3, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the Greek letters (basically have to write them $\tau=I\alpha$)! About the Wheel of Time, indeed I am. I even have the twelfth one waiting in a box twelve two meters from me. But It's been a long time since I read the last one, and the same time before that as I read the first ten books. But aren't they good?!? Which one are you at? Did you finish the series or in the middle of it? KujaRhapsodos 12:09, January 3, 2010 (UTC)
I've read all of them multiple times. The twelfth is really good, you should start it soon. There's a readthrough available on Tor.com and Brandon Sanderson's site if you need a summary, or you can try the (hilarious) mock summary. — 22:28, January 3, 2010 (UTC)
Hey, I won't read a summary! Are you the kind to read the last sentence of a book before even reading it? (You say I've read all of them multiple times... Damn. Indeed, they're good, but they're big... Must have taken you years to do that... Oh, but if I get the time, I'll do it too!) This is sad, however, that Robert Jordan died, don't you think? Rand, Perrin, Tom, Elayne, Nynaeve... Moiraine. Oooh, the memories! Yes, I think I'm gonna start reading the last one very soon. Tomorrow or the day after. Change of subject. You love maths, don't you ^_^? EDIT: Okay, I read the mock summary. Who is Bukama and Merean?!? KujaRhapsodos 22:42, January 3, 2010 (UTC)
No, why would I read the last sentence of a book first o_O? I was suggesting you read the readthroughs of the first 1-11 books, as a refresher course...because they really do take a long time to read, and you've read them already.
Merean and Bukama appear in the prequel "New Spring". Actually, it didn't take me too long to reread the books. When I started, I could reasonably sure of polishing off a WoT book within a day. I've less time to read now, so my pace has slowed down considerably. I don't have time to read so many doorstoppers now, but I really should reread it. I miss my favourite character - crazy ol' Lews Therin.
Of course I love maths! I couldn't imagine not loving it. — 22:57, January 3, 2010 (UTC)

Oh, I read that prequel. They're not realy important, then. A day?!? Either you read very fast, or you read in diagonal, or you read very fast. I must have taken at least 3-4 days each, or maybe 48 hours minimum. Lews... Therin. Lews Therin. The name doesn't even ring a bell :S ... Yes, I was talking about maths, 'cause you and 8bit seem to love maths even more than me (and you had a few more years, it seems, to polish your skills and, well, y'know.... I don't know anyone who loves maths and with whom I can speak of that subject). I couldn't imagine not loving it... me also! KujaRhapsodos 00:12, January 4, 2010 (UTC)

I read very fast. Lews Therin is the old Dragon, currently stuck as a mad voice inside Rand's head.
You're welcome to come on the IRC any time you feel like ranting with us about mathematics ^^. — 00:17, January 4, 2010 (UTC)
Yes, of course, Lews Therin! Damn, I know the characters, but I forgot the names.
...*Tongue sticking out and, while a lot of saliva drips on my shirt, said tongue goes slowly from left to right* I think I love the IRC. KujaRhapsodos 00:26, January 4, 2010 (UTC)

KujaRhapsodos - You don't need a reason to help people.TALK - 01:17, January 2, 2010 (UTC) If you like fantasy books, there are two 12-book series out there, both very good. First one: by Robert Jordan, The Wheel of Time and by Terry Goodkind, The Sword of Truth. Of course, you might have already read them... But if not, they're good! (Oh, and those are thick books, with an average of maybe 800 pages each, paperback.) Best of luck!
Yuan 翠珊 — 02:29, January 2, 2010 (UTC)"He wants to write a love song / An anthem of forgiving / A manual for living with defeat" The Wheel of Time is a great series, although it's hardly my favourite. The Sword of Truth is...your enjoyment of it may depend on your political views, after the first few books. The "evil chicken that is not a chicken!" moment is not to missed, though.

Yuan 翠珊 — 22:28, January 3, 2010 (UTC)"He wants to write a love song / An anthem of forgiving / A manual for living with defeat" My personal reading list is here, but some of that stuff is a bit obscure... Some of my favourite books, in no particular order, are: Hopscotch by Julio Cortázar (very deep, this one). Defies classification If on a winter's night a traveller by Italo Calvino (a book for people who love to read). Defies classification - possibly meta-fiction? Tolkien's Legendarium, particularly The Silmarillion and The Lord of the Rings. Epic fantasy Nighteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell. Dystopia Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes. Sci-fi Anathem by Neal Stephenson (I hope you like maths). Speculative fiction My favourite genre is fantasy, and my favourite authors of that genre are Robin Hobb, Terry Pratchett and Tolkien. I also recommend, if you haven't read them yet: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. Comedy/sci-fi Discworld series by Terry Pratchett (read in any order). Comedic fantasy Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov (don't read this one in public). Tragicomedy/Road trip A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess (or this one). Dystopia/Satire The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. Gothic fiction Sherlock Holmes stories. (As much as I love Dupin as well...) Mystery The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco Mystery/Historical Stephen King novels, particularly The Dark Tower (fantasy/western) and It (horror). Breakfast of Champions by Kurt Vonnegut (assuming you do not mind Kurt Vonnegut's idiosyncratic writing and rudeness). Satire

O_O Liek srslyTALK - 02:24, January 6, 2010 (UTC) Hi yuan, I just noticed that you moved a file to other name. I was wondering how did you do that? cuz I can't seem to find the "move" button when opening the file page. @.@ edit at 02:26, January 6, 2010 (UTC) : or is it all that we have to do is simply type the redirect?

## Mercy Street Edit

That's an awesome idea! I'll try to hunt for the piano sheet music... do you know of a website where I could find a copy? I've signed up at PianoFiles, although it seems that I need to specially request sheet music from other people... 8bit 18:26, January 11, 2010 (UTC)
