Tool Tips[]

Hello! My name is Leon, and I am an Administrator at Nukapedia - the Fallout wiki. I've recently been working on a few features to introduce within my home wiki, and after spending some time on WoWHead, I couldn't help but think of how nice of a feature it would be to have professional looking tool-tips for our links like they have. Unfortunately, they weren't able to share their internal code with us, and so after prowling about Wikia looking for something similar, I happened across this page.

I was wondering, though, if there was any chance that you might help us convert something similar over to the Fallout wiki? I know it's a lot to ask, but I think this would be a wonderful opportunity to present to the community in helping to improve our article-page quality. For more information, I also put out a support request] over at CC.

I thank you for reading, and I'll be looking forward to a possible response. Happy editing, and see you around Wikia! GarouxBloodline

It's not terribly hard to set up. Just tell users to add the code to a common.js page (like I did at the bottom of User:Catuse167/common.js); then, if they approve of adding it site-wide, add it to your MediaWiki:common.js page. C A T U S E 02:20, September 30, 2013 (UTC)
It's always nice getting such swift replies. ^^ Yeah, I've been messing around with it some after checking Lupin's Wikipedia page, and it is starting to seem pretty simple to set up. I'll have to see if I can get all of the parameters I've been looking for as a detailed on the support page at CC. I hope so! 02:23, September 30, 2013 (UTC)
Weird. I've added everything in and I've refreshed my browser (Opera), and yet, nothing is coming up for me when mousing over links. File:ForGaroux.png Some Assembly Required! 02:47, September 30, 2013 (UTC)
Put it in common.js, monobook.js only works for the classic skin while common.js works in all skins. C A T U S E 03:07, September 30, 2013 (UTC)
Ah, you're right. :P I'm just being a noob. File:ForGaroux.png Some Assembly Required! 03:09, September 30, 2013 (UTC)

How long?[]

How long is my IRC ban?

IRC bans do not typically have a fixed duration. You are welcome to sign onto Freenode and private message me (use /query Yuanchosaan) to make your case, and I may reconsider your ban if you change your behaviour. — YuanSalut 23:58, November 20, 2013 (UTC)

Art Questions~[]

May I ask you something, Yuan[]

I need some help updating music file and much more from a another wikia, mind stopping by and help out, let me know if you are interested to help out :( have a nice weekend Eliskuya2 (talk) 03:35, November 29, 2014 (UTC)

Sorry, I have no knowledge of that series. :( Best of luck. — YuanSalut 04:17, November 29, 2014 (UTC)
no that wikia is mine, and its not basic on nothing, I am trying fix the wikia to make it look like this one, like music, ect. and I may need help with that, that's why I asked :( but thanks for helping Eliskuya2 (talk) 14:34, November 29, 2014 (UTC)
Can you explain fully what your problem is? Most of your "make it look like this one" problem is likely solvable by just copy pasting and adapting templates over here. For the music one, we use {{audio}} and upload sound files into that. If you want to copy other templates, such as the Talk and Navbox templates, you probably want to Special:Contact Wikia to ask them about downloading Scribunto. You may need to recolor them for your wiki, of course, and copy some of our CSS or JavaScript over in some cases, and we would be happy to help if you need help with any of those things. Also, it's not your wiki.--Magicite-ffvi-ios.png Technobliterator TC 14:43, November 29, 2014 (UTC)
well I am trying add music, like say background music, to make the place more relaxing, however, I am sill a rookie, with things, but hey I am trying edit the Directory bar too, you are more then welcome to come over and help out if you like, I'll be glad to hire some help and let you help out, that's why they call it being helpful :) Eliskuya2 (talk) 18:04, November 29, 2014 (UTC)

Hello, Yuan. This is Xion4ever. It's been a while. ^_^ I'm an admin over at the "new" KHWiki. I'm here to ask for a proper affiliation, or, in the least, to find where we stand on such grounds. I noticed that you guys link back to us on your articles using "Template:KHWiki," but do not have us listed over on your affiliates page. Is there any chance we could be on that list? I know that we also link to the FFWiki on articles, but lack a proper affiliation on our affiliates page as well. If the only thing stopping us from being proper affiliates is a mere site image and link, I can provide those right away. I apologize that we keep bothering you guys with this...I hope this will be the last time we do. I thank you in advance for the consideration and help. If there's anything you need me to do or if you have questions, just say so. Thanks!--Xion4ever 23:17, January 5, 2015 (UTC)

Sure, there shouldn't be any problem with that. Sorry for the late reply - got a new laptop and haven't signed into everything yet. — YuanSalut 10:25, January 9, 2015 (UTC)
Edit: you are linked on our main page, I see!
Hi, I'm KeybladeSpyMaster, another admin at the Kingdom Hearts Wiki. I was wondering (since I made the image, and I tend to be in charge of these images) whether the affiliate image found on our Affiliates page that I just made is okay with you guys, or if your wiki perhaps has a different idea in mind. We're really appreciative of your willingness to affiliate with our wiki. Thanks! KeybladeSpyMaster (talk) 02:30, January 13, 2015 (UTC)
Hi there. Looks great! Thanks for affiliating with us. — YuanSalut 21:47, January 14, 2015 (UTC)

This is going to sound strange for sure, but I come to you as a small business owner. We're debating changing our business logo to more accurately reflect our services and achieve more high profile clients, and as part of that, we want to get in contact with Square Enix's legal department about possibly paying them to utilize a likeness of the FF1 and 2 red mage in our logo.
Would you be able to offer any advice and/or give me a good starting point with which I could go off of about talking to their legal team about this? I've already dispatched a letter to the Game Grumps about putting me in contact with Hironobu Sakaguchi as well as my friend whom works in New York for a production agency, but any help you can give me regarding this issue would be massively helpful.

Love, luck and lollipops,

Joshua N. Ware CEO, RM Holdings

Notification Box[]

Hey Yuan, I'm wondering how you made that notification box down in the corner? You know, the one about the FFV Let's Play? Thanks! Kamikaze839 00:28, September 17, 2015 (UTC)

I think that's wiki-magic from JBed. One of the things we can edit from another page. Try asking him? — YuanSalut 12:42, September 18, 2015 (UTC)

Rail overflows the page[]

Hello, I noticed that the Recent Wiki Activity rail overflowed the page and went past the wiki body over the background to the right, as seen on the picture. I assume this is a bug, so could you fix it?

Dralkyrie (talk) 18:13, June 5, 2020 (UTC)

We're looking into this; it's probably a bug on FANDOM's end, and if it is we'll have to hand this off to them. What browser are you using? Cat (meowhunt) 19:24, June 5, 2020 (UTC)

Google Chrome

Dad of Light characters[]

I’m a bit knew here, but is the reason none of the Dad of Light characters have their own pages because they’re technically not in-game characters?

Replied on your talk page...--Magicite-ffvi-ios.png Technobliterator TC 05:51, 21 June 2021 (UTC)

OK. I’ve started working on Aru, but so far, I got only the basis of her history, and I did manage to get the infobox set up. Is it okay if I put it up now, or do I need to flush out literally everything else?
