Thanks for all the great work on the FFXV articles. Great infos. A lot of the more specific stuff has been missing.šŸ‘Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 18:01, May 26, 2019 (UTC)

FFXV Modules Edit

What do you want to add/change? It's always been about missing a comma or a quotation mark when I've got those errors when editing them. It's gotta be precisely right or it won't save.

I only see script errors on the FFXV stats page. If there are too many scripts on one page it stops running them, and then we'll just have to divide the page up. I had that problem with Gilgamesh (Final Fantasy XII boss); it just stops running the scripts after a certain point, so I had to create subpages.

I can't think of a good way to divide the FFXV stats page though.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 14:41, June 9, 2019 (UTC)

Okay the Accessories module was just saved a bit wonky that's why it was "script error", I don't know what precisely went wrong there. The recipes lists can't be added the same way as the Accessories etc because they don't give straight up stats, they give "HP Boost (Level 3)" so we gotta get it from this format somehow. Maybe they will all fit, let's see.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 14:53, June 9, 2019 (UTC)
Okay the recipes module can't display how much HP etc. you get, just the HP boost level (use "hpboost" in the createlist code rather than "mhp" to see it), which is not useful.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 15:02, June 9, 2019 (UTC)
The reason the Accessories module edit broke it was because: missing commas from adding stats to the Royal Edition accessories, and because there is no "endurance" field for the module. At the top of the module page it says all the fields that are possible and what they do. It should not have been possible to save it wrong though, I don't know how you brute-forced it! I added your edits back, hope I didn't miss any: here.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 15:33, June 9, 2019 (UTC)

Lost work Edit

Sadly there's no way to recover it. :( Best to periodically just publish even if not done yet to keep progress with big edits (mention in edit summary though to avoid edit conflicts), but I think everyone who edits a lot sometimes loses a ton for some malfunction. Sometimes Wikia doesn't load for me (the only site that does it too, so weird), so now I tend to CTRL+A+C right before pressing Publish in case it'll just hang. I've lost sooo many things when it just doesn't load and then poof it's just gone.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 15:09, June 10, 2019 (UTC)

Uploading images Edit

Please follow the uploading rules (should be on the Special:Upload page). Images need to be named properly and categorised, otherwise we won't know what they are and search engines won't find them, either.

Example: renamed this file, and added screenshot license (like this: {[Screenshot|Final Fantasy XV}}) and categorised to Category:Final Fantasy XV Trailer Images. If it's a screenshot use {{Screenshot|name of game here}}. If it's something else from FF then you can use {{SECopyright}} Just write these to the summary box. If it's confusing just ask!Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 16:59, June 11, 2019 (UTC)

Looks like we already had the image here. No dupes, but you can upload a new version over the old one if you think the old one could be improved upon.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 17:05, June 11, 2019 (UTC)
Yeah the visual editor uploader doesn't give all the options does it. It's weird because Wikia wants wikis to maintain categorisation systems, it's supposedly a big boon for appearing in Google search. (Visual editor also messes with all Wikipedia and Wiktionary links for some reason. I think most users who edit often use the source editor.) I don't know what's happening with the gallery if it doesn't show all proper images! When expanding an image into the "pop up", the images that appear at the bottom of that view can be whatever though, very unreliable. Some random item icons or images from totally different games.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 20:28, June 11, 2019 (UTC)

Sources Edit

I think the specific numbers are from the official strategy guide, which is why all sites tend to cite the same ones, but they have since updated the game so who knows what is accurate. I don't know where the 1% adamantoise Alterna rate is from or how one would even test it. It's probably not true, I think some anon added it. The only other place where I can quickly see 1% used is here. I dunno, is the 1% supposed to be "common knowledge"?Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 15:30, June 12, 2019 (UTC)
